  13.30 Betway Handicap CLAYMORE is dangerously well handicapped on the pick of his form being a former Group 3 winner and could outrun his odds. CASTLE STUART has caught the eye on all of his last three starts, including when sixth at York when last seen and has a fair chance off a pound lower figure if enjoying a smooth passage (wasn’t the case last time).

  14.20 Weatherbys Flat Horses To Follow Handicap GREY HORIZON posted a solid third in a stronger race at Windsor when last seen and a reproduction should be able to see him prove hard to beat. Being 3lb lower than when last successful, I’m expecting him to be heavily involved in the opener.

  17.10 Star Sports Handicap OUR CODY will improve for the run but she’s markedly down in grade for her reappearance and must be considered a contender. THE LOST SOCK is another with his sights lowered and could have a part to play, while AKIRRA has a chance given how well his jockey and rider do when teaming up.

  14.15 Happy Birthday Joe McCabe Claiming Stakes PENNY ARCADE should be able to take the opener. She only found one too good when second at Thirsk last time out and should be able to make her experience count by getting the job done.
