    Southwell Place 6 Preview | 9th June

14.30 Ladies Day Sunday 16th August Handicap Chase FRIENDS DON’T ASK has placed on all three starts this term and was unfortunate to be mugged right on the line last time out. The assessor is allowing him to compete off the same mask, so compensation could well be on the cards.

    Carlisle Place 6 Preview | 8th June

14.15 Racing TV Apprentice Handicap HARRY’S HALO failed to show his true colours in three starts last year but ran a really good race when third on his return at Doncaster and a repeat showing should see him bang in contention.

    Perth Place 6 Preview | 7th June

14.07 Scone Palace Jousting Tournament Novices’ Hurdle KIBRIS could be the answer to the opener. He was useful on the Flat and opened his account in this sphere at Perth when last seen. This step up in trip does pose a question mark but he has more to come and should be able to at least make the places.

    Epsom Place 6 Preview | 6th June

13.30 Betfred Tattenham Corner Stakes (Group 3) NEVER SO BRAVE is a Group 1 winner that should appreciate this lower level. He will be sharper from his return in a Group 2 event and should relish the return to this shorter distance, so he’s the one to beat.

    Lingfield Place 6 | 4th June

17.10 Sky Sports Racing Virgin 512 Handicap ADELAIDE BAY looked unfortunate not to score at Southwell last time out, having been set with so much to do before running on strongly to only be beaten half-a-length in second.

Four handicappers to consider at the Derby Meeting

She’s Got A Brother (3yo Dash) SHE’S GOT A BROTHER won her first couple of starts on the all-weather and ran a massive race on turf debut when fourth of 17 in a big-field handicap at York. She acquitted herself very well considering she lacked experience for a race like that and is bound to have more to come.

    Ripon Place 6 Preview | 3rd June

18.00 British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes FANTASY FORCE produced a solid debut effort when third at York and that form is expected to work out well. With more to come, don’t be surprised to see him go well.

Four to consider at Epsom: Group races

Royal Playwright (Diomed Stakes) Persica beat Ice Max (second) and ROYAL PLAYWRIGHT (fourth) in this race last year but I’m interested in the latter, who wasn’t far behind the pair and could bridge the gap.

    Pontefract Place 6 Preview | 2nd June

14.48 Gieves And Hawkes Supports The YCC Maiden Stakes ALMA LATINA has made a positive start to her career, shaping well behind some promising sorts at Sandown and Salisbury. Her trainer has an excellent record at this course so she is undoubtedly the one to beat.

    Newbury Place 6 Preview | 1st June

14.15 Get 100-1 On England At BetVictor EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes  BAI TONG improved from her debut fifth to finish second when last seen and must have a squeak with the experience under her belt.

    Fakenham Place 6 Preview | 31st May

14.35 fakenhamdogfield.co.uk Novices’ Handicap Hurdle It’s hard to be confident about any of these but TUBA has been in relentless form since December on the Flat, winning three times, including the last two times and might be able to make the most of this fantastic opportunity.
