Bangor Place 6 Preview | 8th September
16.38 Twilight Racing On The Dee Handicap Chase
A chance is taken on LERMOOS LEGEND, who won twice around this time last year and ran a solid race behind an odds-on favourite last time out. He remains 6lb above his last winning mark, but his rider can take off 7lb, so he’s fancied to run a big race.
Tips: LERMOOS LEGEND
17.12 John Hewitt Memorial Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase
The in-form CAPTAIN COOL can continue his good work ethic. He’s won four of his six chase starts and placed in the other two. He won a much stronger event at Stratford last time out and even a 5lb higher mark is unlikely to stop him from going in again. Great chance.
Tips: CAPTAIN COOL
17.42 Paul Ferguson’s Jumpers To Follow Novices’ Hurdle
HIDDEN FORTUNE made it third time lucky when winning at Fontwell last time out and she looks sure to progress. This also isn’t the strongest race in the world, so being open to further improvement, it will take a good effort from something else to lower Dan Skelton’s charge.
Tips: HIDDEN FORTUNE
18.12 Wrexham Lager Handicap Hurdle
DREAM JET turned in a solid effort when second at Stratford last time out and a reproduction here could be enough to go one place better. He is on the same mark, so there’s no reason why he can’t make an impact in this winnable event.
Tips: DREAM JET
18.42 Sun Racing Summer Jumps Championship Handicap Hurdle
PLAYFUL FOX has been in really good form of late, winning two of his last three starts and could be about to add another. He will find this tougher than the race he won at Newton Abbot but he’s thriving at present and should go well.
Tips: PLAYFUL FOX
19.12 Bangor-On-Dee Handicap Hurdle
FANE COURT went very close to scoring at Worcester last time out when just denied by the nod, and although that isn’t great form, the bottom weight must be considered a leading player off only a pound higher mark.
Tips: FANE COURT
