13.50 – Bet At racingtv.com Novice Stakes – 1m OVERACTIVE made the frame in both starts at Wolverhampton last year and is now switched to the turf in a winnable race. Ralph Beckett’s charge should play a leading role.

Pontefract Place 6 preview | 11th April
14.00 – Philip Grundy Rising 70 Apprentice Handicap – 1m4f APPIER is unproven on soft ground but won five times last year and should be very competitive off this mark back on the turf. TIDAL STORM won over this distance on the all-weather last year and despite running poorly over hurdles last time, he ran well when fourth on soft ground at Newbury in 2021, so could get involved.

Huntingdon Place 6 preview | 10th April
13.05 – Every Race Live On Racing TV Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m3f CHARLES RITZ scored on his debut over hurdles and while he failed to land any sort of blow on his chase debut, he should do better here.

Haydock Place 6 preview | 8th April
13.30 – cavani.co.uk Challenger Two Mile Hurdle Series Final Handicap Hurdle – 1m7f CASTEL GANDOLFO went close in this race last year off this mark and while he needs to cast aside a lesser effort at Newbury, he has been given a good chance by the assessor.

Lingfield Place 6 preview | 7th April
13.30 – BetUK All-Weather Vase Apprentice Handicap PIRATE KING likes it here with 4 wins from 12 starts and saves his best for this distance, so he could outrun his odds. SAUSALITO has won 5 of his 7 starts on the all-weather, 3 of his 4 starts at this course and 2 of his 4 starts over this distance.

Hereford Place 6 preview | 6th April
13.50 – Cazoo Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Chase – 3m1f Trainer Sam Thomas has an excellent 40% strike-rate at this course and chase debutant PRINCE DES FICHAUX has to be considered, who had placed in five of his seven starts over hurdles.

Wincanton Place 6 preview | 5th April
13.40 – Irish Store Sales With Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Mares’ Handicap Chase – 3m1f WOULDUBEWELL has been majorly disappointing the last twice but the form of her three previous chases reads well and she isn’t out of this.

Fontwell Place 6 preview | 4th April
14.00 – Cazoo Maiden Hurdle – 2m3f DOUBLE CLICK has an attractive pedigree and while he was unplaced in all three starts in points, he has to be given respect on stable debut. While ROCCO ROYALE has improved with each start and should appreciate this longer distance.

Racing
Ludlow Place 6 preview | 3rd April
13.30 – JM Construction Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle – 1m7f GAYE LEGACY shaped well when second in a sole bumper and has improved with each start over hurdles, including when beaten just a nose last time.

Ascot Place 6 preview | 2nd April
13.50 – Ascot Racecourse Supports Ascot United Warriors Maiden Hurdle – 2m3f EL RIO looked like he was going to make a winning stable/hurdles debut at Chepstow until falling at the last hurdle, so a clear round, and compensation might await him here.

Lingfield Place 6 preview | 31st March
13.20 – It’s Time To Turn To talkSPORT Handicap – 1m It’s about time EIGHT MILE got off the mark and the step up in trip should suit given how strongly he finished the race to take fifth here last time over 7f.
