Newton Abbot Place 6 Preview | 2nd September

14.32 – Talk Tidy Marketing Novices’ Hurdle – 2m

It took four attempts over hurdles before FATHER OF JAZZ finally opened his account in this sphere but he is now chasing a four-timer after a couple of easy wins at Aintree since. Rated as high as 104 on the Flat, he should have much more to come over hurdles and can shoulder top-weight to another success.

Tips: FATHER OF JAZZ

15.07 – Racings Partnership Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase – 2m4f

TIME FLIES BY was highly tried at the beginning of his career and has won his last two starts in the manner of a serious improver. He fell on his only previous start over fences but is a different proposition now and could continue where he left off on his reappearance.

Tips: TIME FLIES BY

15.43 – William Hill Leading Racecourse Bookmaker Handicap Chase – 2m4f

RESERVE TANK was a high-class horse in his prime and cashed-in on a reduced mark at Market Rasen in June. He isn’t guaranteed to back that up given his inconsistency but he has the class to do so if he is in the mood. MR MAFIA isn’t getting any younger but he is dangerous to rule out having won here last-time-out. CHIEF BLACK ROBE won his first four starts over fences before a solid fourth in the Summer Plate last time. He is the main danger.

Tips: RESERVE TANK, MR MAFIA, CHIEF BLACK ROBE

16.17 – Neil Evans Memorial Handicap Hurdle – 2m5f

SEBASTOPOL is the classiest horse in the field and this Grade 2 winner over fences reverts to hurdles off a much lower mark than his chase mark. If ready to roll, he could go well with the ability to beat these off top-weight.

Tips: SEBASTOPOL

16.52 – Happy Birthday Debbie Moss Handicap Chase – 2m

EL BORRACHO has an excellent record over fences which reads 122111151 and never saw another rival when he won last time. He should take a lot of beating, while BLUEBERRY WINE will appreciate the drop in grade and is better than he showed at Stratford last time. He could bounce back.

Tips: EL BORRACHO, BLUEBERRY WINE

17.27 – Silver Blaze Wessex Cup Handicap Hurdle – 2m

GETAWAY TOM gained a first win at Uttoxeter back in May and has been solid in defeat in both starts since. He should continue his good run of form, while SASSIFIED has every chance of completing his hat-trick after winning at this course the last twice.

Tips: GETAWAY TOM, SASSIFIED
