Newton Abbot Place 6 preview | 11th September

14.40 – attheraces.com Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Chase – 3m1f

YA KNOW YASEFF benefitted for the fitting of first-time blinkers when scoring easily at Worcester 8 days ago and if they work a second time, he could easily defy his penalty but SHARP NOTE isn’t out of it either. PRINCE CLENI did well over fences at the start of the summer when second at Uttoxeter before winning at Southwell and also has a chance. The only other runner JANESLITTLEVOICE is included too as back-up.

Tips: YA KNOW YASEFF, SHARP NOTE, PRINCE CLENI, JANESLITTLEVOICE

15.15 – Britbet ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle – 2m2f

THE GALAHAD KID was beaten a long way into second last-time-out but is better than that and has still yet to finish out of the top two in all of his career starts as of yet. The first-time tongue strap could yield improvement and both Paddy Brennan and Fergal O’Brien have their only ride and runner on the card. If this seven-year-old can channel his inner ability, he should beat Way Out.

Tips: THE GALAHAD KID

15.50 – Ben Oliver Memorial Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m4f

None of these can be ruled out. FRANKIE FAULKNER has taken well to obstacles, placing on his hurdles debut before scoring next time and shaping well on his chase debut. He must be respected with more to come. The hat-trick seeking INVESTMENT MANAGER is feared most, while three-time Chase winner OPENING BID and chase debutant ASTROMAN cannot be taken lightly.

Tips: FRANKIE FAULKNER, INVESTMENT MANAGER, OPENING BID, ASTROMAN

16.25 – Talk Tidy Marketing Handicap Hurdle – 3m2f

TOMMIE BEAU has been in good form this summer over fences, winning twice over fences off a mark of 120 and can return to hurdles off a pound lower mark. This course winner should be on the premises but will do well to beat Emmet Mullins’ SLATE LANE who is 2-2 for this stable and could complete his hat-trick with improvement firmly on the cards. He is the one to beat.

Tips: TOMMIE BEAU, SLATE LANE

17.00 – NewtonAbbotRace On Twitter Mares’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m

This is a poor race and the standout pick has to be SADDLERS QUEST who has won her last couple of starts, including over C&D last time and might find further progression to go in again. TIME TO BURN ran well at Worcester on her penultimate start when third and will be in receipt of a lot of weight from the remainder.

Tips: SADDLERS QUEST, TIME TO BURN

17.35 – Racing Partnership TRP Open NH Flat Race – 2m

This shouldn’t take much winning and JOHNNIE RIVER could be up to the task ahead being related to several winners. JUKEBOX ANNIE unseated her rider on debut in a bumper at Stratford but cannot be dismissed in what is a weak contest and should she succeed, most units would be eliminated.

Tips: JOHNNIE RIVER, JUKEBOX ANNIE
