Hexham Place 6 preview | 6th September

16.39 – Langley Castle An Outstanding Small Hotel. Novices’ Hurdle – 2m4f

Belle Of Annandale won well on her hurdles debut but might have to settle for second best behind Irish raider LUSNAMULT LAD who beat a subsequent winner on his hurdles debut at Sligo and backed that up with a fair third at Downpatrick next time. Open to further progress, the six-year-old makes plenty of appeal.

Tips: LISNAMULT LAD

17.14 – Sue Heslop Loves Phil Kirby Racings. Handicap Hurdle – 2m7f

Even though he has failed to complete in three of his last four starts, there’s no doubt FOR JIM has the ability to win this. He has become inconsistent nowadays but is 10 pounds below his last winning mark and is a three-time course winner. He could bounce back, while DAKOTA BEAT capitalised on a career-low mark at Bangor last time and could follow-up.

Tips: FOR JIM, DAKOTA BEAT

17.45 – At The Races App Form Study Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f

A speculative chance is taken on the outsider of the party, CALUM GILHOOLEY who is well-handicapped on his 2021 form. Limited to just two starts since his last success, he has been well beaten in both outings this year but is 13 pounds lower than when he last won and could easily outrun his odds. ONWARD ROUTE has a good record here and should be feared.

Tips: CALUM GILHOOLEY, ONWARD ROUTE

18.18 – Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap Hurdle – 2m

MINELLA PLUS has been winless since October last year but he ran one of his better races from a reduced mark when third at Bangor last time despite his mark continuing to slide. All of his wins in handicaps have been off higher marks and he should be in the mix. JUST HANNAH hasn’t shown much to date but it is too soon to be writing him off, so he is included.

Tips: MINELLA PLUS, JUST HANNAH

18.48 – At The Races App Market Movers Handicap Chase – 1m7f

CHECK MY PULSE can find himself three pounds below his last winning mark and warmed up for this with a spin on the Flat just six days ago. He rates one of the likeliest winners. INGLEBY MACKENZIE hasn’t shown much in Britain but is well-handicapped on the pick of his Irish form and can go well too.

Tips: CHECK MY PULSE, INGLEBY MACKENZIE

19.18 – At The Races App Expert Tips Handicap Chase – 3m

MANCE RYDER came close to winning at Doncaster when last seen, finishing third off a pound higher mark, and the last time he won, he defied an 18 pounds higher mark. He should be suited to this course and can beat these if his fitness can prove up to scratch. HUMPS AND BUMPS has made the frame the last two times and must be respected in her current mood.

Tips: MANCE RYDER, HUMPS AND BUMPS
