    Michael Owen’s guide to the £1,000,000 FreePlay6

The FA Cup isn’t being done too many favours by the Premier League fixture list this season. I’m well aware that it is far from their fault, but the fact that there is a full league schedule next Tuesday and Wednesday must impact upon team selection in the Cup this weekend.

    Michael Owen’s Guide To The £1,000,000 FreePlay6

Michael Owen’s FreePlay6 Guide We are now well past the halfway stage in the Premier League season – and we are still not a great deal closer to identifying the champions. Yes, I know that the bookmakers pretty much have it as a straight fight between Man City and Arsenal in the betting – and that will probably turn out to be the case – but both of those sides haven’t really laid down a convincing marker as yet.

No goals and only one point in their last two matches. Well, it can’t be long before people start calling for Claudio Ranieri’s head, can it?! To be serious, many expected second-placed Leicester, fresh from only their second defeat of the season away to Liverpool on Boxing Day, to begin their slide down the table when they faced Man City at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night.

I’m not sure that I’d be in a mad rush to back Arsenal at odds-on to win the Premier League but you can’t deny that they were good value for the three points against Man City on Monday night, and are now in pole position to win their first title since 2004.

MICHAEL OWEN’S GUIDE TO THE £1,000,000 MILLIONAIRE FREEPLAY6 Last week, I touched upon some unfathomable results at the top end of the Premier League table, but it seems that teams who were pencilled in for relegation not so long ago now want in on the act, too.

MICHAEL OWEN vs THE £10,000,000 COLOSSUS

At the rate at which we are going, I think it is fair to say that this season will see the lowest winning points tally in the Premier League for a while. The winning points’ totals in the past four years read 87-86-89-89.

MICHAEL OWEN vs THE £10,000,000 COLOSSUS

At the start of the season, I think I’m correct in saying that Claudio Ranieri was one of the favourites in the bookmakers Premier League “Sack Race” betting. I wouldn’t be the biggest fan of people making money out of managers losing their jobs but it does underline what a surprisingly good job Ranieri has done – actually it is nothing short of miraculous – in guiding Leicester to second in the table after losing just one of their 14 league games.

MICHAEL OWEN vs THE £10,000,000 COLOSSUS

Here is a first for you – my top four prediction for the end of the season now contains five teams! The boys at Colossus asked me to re-think how the Premier League table would look come May and it’s a bit of a head-scratcher I have to admit, especially after last weekend’s results.

EVERTON have been found wanting when they have played the top sides this season – well, they beat Chelsea 3-1 in September but everyone seems to be doing that recently! – but they have successfully dispatched the teams in the bottom half of the table, and you can’t get lower-ranked than Aston Villa at the moment.
