For Win and Place pools, selections which become non-runners before coming under starter’s orders will be replaced by the favourite. The horse that is declared the favourite at the start of the race will be clearly marked as such on your ticket.
For greyhound pools, bets are based on trap numbers and not on named greyhounds. A reserve runner may replace a greyhound which is listed in a pool but does not race. This means that, for the purposes of greyhound pools, a non-runner is a vacant trap and only if a selected trap is vacant, will the selections on that trap be replaced by the favourite.
For Finishing Order pools, any valid lines that include a selection that is declared a non-runner will be void and the stakes will be returned to the customer when the pool is settled.
