  11.53 J M Finn ‘Chasing Excellence’ Beginners’ Chase This can go the way of LUCKY PLACE. He fluffed his lines on chase debut at Ascot but had excuses and this multiple Grade 2 hurdles winner should be able to leave that form behind and get back on track for Henderson and Nico.

  12.30 Royal Arch Racing Novices’ Hurdle ADONEDEAL should prove a cut above this field under Sean Bowen. He was an impressive winner on hurdles debut at Southwell and should be able to defy the penalty in the opener with the minimum of fuss.

  12.10 JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle ONE HORSE TOWN is 4/4 in this sphere and overcame deep ground to land a Grade 2 event here last time out. This looks significantly easier, so back on a sounder surface, Harry Derham’s contender can extend his unbeaten record with bigger fish to try later down the line.

  12.05 British EBF ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle LISBANE PARK impressed when scoring on hurdles debut at Exeter and another step forward should see him bang in the mix. The reliable and consistent KINGSTON QUEEN should give this a good go from the front and is the other one to consider in the opener.
