Worcester Place 6 betting preview | June 29th

Worcester Betting Preview

Steven Dowler is taking on today’s Place 6 pool at Worcester. Check out his preview below and if you agree with his selections, why not join forces with his Syndicate?

13.00 – Royal Equestrian Bedding Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m

STORM RISING isn’t the force of old but he should find the return to this trip more suitable and he’s ran well around here multiple times in the past. This race is more open than the market suggests and he could surprise a few at big odds. Of the others, RAGAMUFFIN is consistent and although well beaten into second here last time, this is easier and he should be thereabouts.

Selections: STORM RISING, RAGAMUFFIN

13.30 – Cazoo Handicap Chase – 2m7f

BALLYMILAN is unbeaten in two starts over fences and stayed on strongly to get the job done last time. She’s up 5Ib, but could be up to completing the hat-trick in this race. JERSEY showed useful form over hurdles but has the pedigree to be an even better chaser, so he has to be feared for the Skelton’s, who do well with chasing debutants.

Selections: BALLYMILAN, JERSEY

14.00 – Worcester Supports Racing Staff Week Handicap Chase – 2m4f

GETTHEPOT returned a beaten favourite last time when only second of four but had earlier impressed on his chase debut and should go well in this open-looking contest. ON THE BANDWAGON left a poor chase debut behind when finishing a close second at Southwell last time and could go one better off only a couple of pounds higher mark.

Selections: GETTHEPOT, ON THE BANDWAGON

14.30 – Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Mares’ Open NH Flat Race – 2m

SAY YOU SEE ME wasn’t the cheapest or purchases for Gordon Elliott but is related to the classy Black Tears and has a lovely pedigree. It’s interesting to see her make the long trip to this venue from Ireland and she could well outclass these if ready for this. VIENNA GIRL outperformed her huge odds when second on debut though and has to be respected with that run under her belt.

Selections: SAY YOU SEE ME, VIENNA GIRL

15.00 – Get Pulling With PJ Nicholls SsangYong Handicap Hurdle – 2m7f

ROOKIE TRAINER didn’t take to chasing in three starts but enjoyed the return to hurdling when winning over C&D earlier this month. He’s gone up 5Ib but should make a bold bid to follow-up here. KABRIT shaped as if needing the run at Ludlow last time after a seven month absence and should go very well here off a mark that’s within range.

Selections: ROOKIE TRAINER, KABRIT

15.35 – Cazoo Novices’ Hurdle – 2m

Give Me A Moment has useful chase form but he’s not as good in this sphere and I think IKE SPORT will win this if taking a step forward from his stable debut last time. He shaped very well when third at this course and should come on loads for that experience. Dropped down in distance, he’s fancied to come good at the second time of asking, being open to more improvement than the favourite.

Selections: IKE SPORT
