Newton Abbot Betting Preview

14.00 – NewtonAbbotRace On Twitter Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race) – 2m5f

AMI DES FLOTS shaped well when second on hurdles debut at Ffos Las last month and, with this longer trip sure to suit, he’s taken to go one better. FIRE SQUADRON is more exposed than most and has yet to win a race but should be thereabouts again for the Gordon Elliott team.

Selections: AMI DES FLOTS, FIRE SQUADRON

14.30 – newtonabbotracing.com Handicap Hurdle – 2m

CHAMPAGNE CITY jumped poorly last time but has been freshened up since and is only a couple of pounds above his last winning mark should play a leading role here despite his big weight. CLEARANCE cashed-in on a reduced mark over C&D last time and could follow-up off a 5Ib higher mark whilst he’s in form.

Selections: CHAMPAGNE CITY, CLEARANCE

15.05 – St Austell Brewery Novices’ Chase – 2m

Paul Nicholls’ WILD MAX is difficult to oppose here and should beat these comfortably. He’s won two of his last three chase starts and was impressive when beating a subsequent winner over C&D in May. With the best form on offer and more to come, he should outclass his three rivals here.

Selections: WILD MAX

15.40 – Racing Partnership TRP Juvenile Hurdle (GBB Race) – 2m

MUCANA had FREE CHAKARTE in behind when winning at Aintree on hurdles debut and could confirm that form here. Though the latter, who’s eligible to compete with the former on level terms, could gain revenge. It’s difficult to separate both to be honest, so both are going onto the ticket for this race.

Selections: MUCANA, FREE CHAKARTE

16.13 – Thank You Georgie Robarts Handicap Hurdle – 2m5f

LITTLE JESSTURE has been in good form this year, winning once and placing three times and wasn’t beaten far last time. He goes up significantly in trip this time round but should be on the premises if he stays. JIMMY BELL is only two pounds above his last winning mark and could be competitive back over hurdles.

Selections: LITTLE JESSTURE, JIMMY BELL

16.50 – William Hill Leading Racecourse Bookmaker Handicap Chase – 3m1f

NELSONS ROCK was decent over hurdles but jumped superbly en route to scoring easily on chase debut over C&D last month and a 5Ib rise shouldn’t prevent a follow-up. Jony Max is the biggest danger but the former is less exposed and should, at the very least, make the frame if we get to the final race on today’s preview.

Selections: NELSONS ROCK
