Wetherby Place 6 preview | 6th March

14.05 – Watch Racing TV In Stunning HD Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Chase – 2m5f

CHRIS COOL took well to fences on his chase debut here last month when second and, with that experience under his belt, he might emerge as a key player in the outcome. FEVER ROQUE has hit the frame in all completed starts to date in this sphere and he cannot be dismissed.

Selections: CHRIS COOL, FEVER ROQUE

14.40 – racingtv.com Novices’ Hurdle

HALLIGATOR shaped with bundles of promise when second in a bumper on debut in Ireland and made a highly-promising successful hurdles/stable debut last summer. He hasn’t been seen since but is clearly capable when fresh and looks more reliable than Quick Sharpener, who was well beaten on his handicap debut last time.

Selections: HALLIGATOR

15.15 – Wetherby Long Distance Handicap Chase

INNISFREE LAD was third in last year’s Eider at Newcastle over four-miles and absolutely bolted up at Hereford when last seen. His rider can take off 3Ib this time, so he’s a major player if in the same mood as last time. YOUR OWN STORY looks ready for this marathon trip and the way he stayed on strongly to take second was eye-catching to say the least.

Selections: INNISFREE LAD, YOUR OWN STORY

15.50 – Watch And Bet At racingtv.com Handicap Hurdle – 3m

A typically wide-open race but JET LAGS boasts the consistent and solid form, who is eligible to compete off the same mark as when runner-up last time. He proved no match for Apple Away that day but has now hit the frame in all of his last three starts and appears as solid material to do so again at the very least here.

Selections: JET LAGS

16.25 – Watch The Cheltenham Festival On Racing TV Handicap Chase – 2m5f

BEAKSTOWN hasn’t fulfilled his early promise but he still has some smart chase form in his locker and he ran a nice race when fourth in the Old Roan on his penultimate start. He remains 6Ib above his last winning mark but could make a bold bid, while PERCUSSION placed in both the Grand Sefton and Becher Chase over the National fences at Aintree and is recognised as one of the leading players.

Selections: BEAKSTOWN, PERCUSSION

17.00 – Racing TV Extra Handicap Hurdle – 2m

GLORY BRIDGE pulled clear with a dual subsequent winner when second on his handicap debut at Doncaster and while he has been hit with a 5Ib rise, he could go one place better. Donald McCain’s charge is the one to beat.

Selections: GLORY BRIDGE
