Uttoxeter Place 6 preview | July 13th

Steven Dowler is taking on today’s Boosted Place 6 pool at Uttoxeter. Check out his preview below.

13.55 – H Brown & Son Recycling Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle – 1m7f

TARSEEM has hit a good run of form for his trainer Milton Harris of late, doing little wrong in finishing second three times in a row, including when a strong-travelling second last time. He’s dropped back in trip today, which should be a positive, and despite this being a bit more competitive than last time, he should go well here with Mitchell Bastyan taking off three pounds.

Selections: TARSEEM

14.28 – Total Waste Management Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle – 1m7f

This is probably between the market principles with the vote going to LEADING THEATRE, who was smart in bumpers, including when finishing second in a Listed event at Cheltenham. She was down the field in the Aintree bumper but has recently taken well to hurdles and opened her account in good style last time. She can get the better of Betty’s Banjo.

Selections: LEADING THEATRE

15.03 – Browns Scrap Metal Processing Maiden Hurdle – 2m3f

FENNA’S LOSS left his two Irish-bumper outings behind when returning a decisive winner on stable debut three weeks ago, where he quickened way to score by five lengths having travelled best throughout. He goes up in trip on hurdles debut, but that should unlock further improvement and he’s taken to make it two-from-two for the Walford team with Sean Quinlan maintaining the partnership.

Selections: FENNA’S LOSS

15.38 – Brown’s Trade Waste Collections Novices’ Handicap Chase – 3m

JUDGE EARL isn’t the most straightforward but he got off the mark in this sphere on his penultimate start and backed that up with a good second last-time-out. Off the same mark here, he’s a player. GO ALL THE WAY ran well over C&D last time when third and should be competitive with more conviction at his fences.

Selections: JUDGE EARL, GO ALL THE WAY

16.13 – Brown Recycling Handicap Hurdle – 2m7f

YOU NAME HIM has continued to go from strength-to-strength, in which he completed the hat-trick at Southwell last time and while he’s gone up another five pounds, he can make life difficult for the assessor with another bold effort. MR YEATS is enjoying his racing again lately and has made the frame in his last nine starts. He’s feared most.

Selections: YOU NAME HIM, MR YEATS

16.43 – Browns Zero To Landfill Handicap Chase – 2m4f

KAUTO THE KING is unbeaten in three for Joe Tizzard and cruised to a seven-length victory last time when completing the hat-trick. This is a bit more competitive, but now that he’s putting it all together, the four-timer beckons. TEXARD won a decent pot here last time and has some form over this trip so David Pipe will be looking to exploit any chunks in the favourites armour with this unexposed seven-year-old, who’s good value to make the frame.

Selections: KAUTO THE KING, TEXARD
