14.05 – Recycling Association Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m6f

This is a good opening for CAWTHORNE LAD to cash-in on his career-low mark. His last win, albeit over fences, came off a mark of 111 and he is now 3Ib lower in this sphere. GOOD NEWS has been given a chance by the handicapper, who can find himself 2Ib below his last winning mark, and could go well on his return.

14.40 – Peute Junior ‘National Hunt’ Hurdle – 2m

Not a lot to go on with all of these making their hurdles debut. However, SUMMER NIGHT CITY represents a stable in superb form – last nine runners read 111101012 and they have also had a couple of first-time-out hurdles winners in the last fortnight. He could go well, while KARTOON AND CO also appeals of the rest on debut.

15.10 – Newport Recycling Novices’ Hurdle – 2m

GLOBAL ESTEEM is a pretty decent sort on the Flat, who was rated as high as 84, and has placed three times this year. He is heavily respected on his hurdle and stable debut and his trainer predominantly does well with new recruits. If his jumping can pass the test, he should be competitive at a price.

15.40 – Re-Gen Waste Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m3f

TIME TO BITE is still to win under rules and although he will be making his seasonal debut, he was second in this last year from a 1Ib higher mark. He has clearly been targeted at this race and given how thin the opposition is, the eight-year-old could prove capable of going one place better.

16.10 – CWM Inspection Company Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m2f

Alan King’s HOURLESS looks well-handicapped ahead of his handicap debut here. He won on his hurdles debut at Hexham and backed that up with a good second at Newton Abbot. He has run well in both starts on the Flat since and being Alan King’s only runner on the card, he has leading claims.

16.45 – CS Recycling Handicap Chase – 2m6f

MILAN BRIDGE has seemingly lost his way but even so, he is still too well-treated at present and did achieve some good form last year. If his new handler can rekindle his spark, he should be thereabouts. ALLO ALLO should have more to offer over fences having won impressively at Bangor when last seen and appeals more than most.
