Huntingdon Place 6 preview | 10th October

14.35 – Racing TV Maiden Hurdle – 2m3f

A very useful bumper winner, SCHOOL DAYS OVER still sets a clear standard on the pick of his form despite proving expensive to follow last season. A winner on his bumper debut, prior to an excellent second in a Listed race at Cheltenham, this is an excellent chance for him to open his account in this sphere. None of the rest appeal.

Tips: SCHOOL DAYS OVER

15.10 – Racing TV Handicap Chase – 2m3f

HIDDEN DEPTHS was suited to a strong pace when resuming winning ways very easily at Sedgefield last week. Even under a penalty, he merits serious consideration here in his follow-up bid. WHODINI was in the process of running well at Stratford last time before a late fall and should be thereabouts if none-the-worse.

Tips: HIDDEN DEPTHS, WHODINI

15.45 – Racing TV Handicap Hurdle – 2m3f

EMILY WADE ran a rare-poor race last time but she is likely to bounce back here having placed in her four previous starts. She looks competitive on form, while BENNY SILVER made a pleasing reappearance on handicap debut at Uttoxeter when second despite not justifying favouritism and could make amends with that run under his belt.

Tips: EMILY WADE, BENNY SILVER

16.20 – Mayor Of Huntingdon Charity Race Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m7f

HONNEUR DE SIVOLA lacked conviction at most of his fences last time but still ran with credit to finish second and is 2Ib lower for this contest, so he can be given another chance. IF I SAY would have placed again at the very least last time at Worcester without falling at the second last and has been left on the same mark. A clear round should see her in the shake-up against these.

Tips: HONNEUR DE SIVOLA, IF I SAY

16.55 – Clive Graham Memorial Handicap Hurdle – 3m1f

THE QUESTIONER made a winning-chase debut at Doncaster before running well to take third in the North Wales National at Bangor which is the best form in the field. He is only 1Ib higher than for that chase debut win and should be tuned up to run well. EDISON KENT has finished second in his last two starts and another bold showing is highly anticipated.

Tips: THE QUESTIONER, EDISON KENT

17.30 – Racing TV ‘Junior’ NH Flat Race – 1m5f

Archie Watson’s runners in these types of events should always be feared and his debutant, HILL SPIRIT, has to be of interest given the yard won this exact race two years ago. THEINCROWD is an interesting Irish runner for a jockey who has a decent record in bumpers. He could play a leading role at a larger price.

Tips: HILL SPIRIT, THEINCROWD
