Southwell Place 6 preview | 3rd July

14.25 – At The Races App Market Movers Handicap Chase – 3m

WICK GREEN is a winner of two of his last four starts and bolted up by 10 lengths at Worcester back in May. He jumped very well that day and an 8 pound rise doesn’t seem too harsh, so he could follow-up. FAIRLAWN FLYER has been out of form this year but did win four times in this sphere last year and is nine pounds lower than the last of those wins.

Tips: WICK GREEN, FAIRLAWN FLYER

15.00 – Download The At The Races App Handicap Chase – 1m7f

ROCAMBOLAS has made a good start to his life at Ben Pauling and after winning on his stable debut, he should have won at Worcester two starts ago. He was going well before falling when last seen, too. With a clear round, he can make amends.

Tips: ROCAMBOLAS

15.35 – Free Tips Daily On attheraces.com Novices’ Selling Hurdle – 1m7f

ABSOLUTE RULER faces nothing of the calibre of the two he bumped into here when last seen and has evidently taken well to this sphere with a win and three placed efforts from just the four starts. He’s the one to beat and his short-price reflects his strong credentials.

Tips: ABSOLUTE RULER

16.10 – At The Races App Form Study Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – 1m7f

GONE IN SIXTY has yet to win a race for Alex Hales but has placed in four of his eight starts over hurdles and has been left on the same mark as when third last time. All he needs is a touch of improvement to win this average contest.

Tips: GONE IN SIXTY

16.45 – Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Mares’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f

A few of these arrive into the race in good form, including PURE SURF, who won very easily just three days ago at Cartmel and even though she has to carry a seven pounds penalty for that success, she’s the one to beat. If this doesn’t come too quick, she should be able to make her presence felt in her follow-up bid.

Tips: PURE SURF

17.20 – Southwell Racecourse Supporting Racing Staff Week Handicap Hurdle – 3m

Sam England’s WHATABOUTYEH cruised to success just three days ago at Cartmel on just his third start over fences and connections seem keen on turning him out quickly but this time over hurdles from an attractive mark. A repeat of that latest success should see him hard to beat.

Tips: WHATABOUTYEH
