Perth Place 6 Preview | 23rd April
13.40 Stonepack Mares’ ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle
Gordon Elliott appears to hold the key in the opener, with CELTIC ALLIANCE being the standout choice.
He won very nicely on his hurdles debut at Clonmel earlier this month, and being open to further improvement, he can remain unbeaten with Sean Bowen in the saddle.
Tips: CELTIC ALLIANCE

LA VISH improved upon his three previous outings to score in good style at Warwick and this is his chance to prove that victory to be no fluke.
LARGY MEADOW only found one too good when second at Newcastle and has only gone up 3lb in the handicap. He should be thereabouts if able to build on that display.
Tips: LA VISH & LARGY MEADOW

BUY SOME TIME hasn’t figured on his last couple of starts but he’s only 3lb higher than when landing a large-field, competitive handicap at Punchestown last April and has a good chance if he can repeat that form.
STONER’S CHOICE isn’t the force he once was but he’s dangerously well-handicapped and this course winner has a squeak.
Tips: BUY SOME TIME & STONER’S CHOICE

TOMMY’S OSCAR wasn’t disgraced when fourth in the Grade 2 event last time out and still remains nicely treated on historical form, so he remains the one to beat, as he’s rated clear of his opposition.
CLASSIC MAESTRO and TOOTHLESS could emerge as the main dangers given they will be getting a lot of weight from the favourite.
Tips: TOMMY’S OSCAR & CLASSIC MAESTRO

AMERICAN MIKE is used to competing in stronger races than this and still has low mileage in this sphere. The nine-year-old is a Grade 2-winning chaser (beat Nick Rockett) and that is the best form on offer. After a pleasing second over hurdles when last seen, I think he’s ready to return to winning ways.
MINELLA DRAMA is also well treated being a Grade 2 winner himself and should appreciate the drop down in grade. He’s a very good horse on his day and finished second on both previous starts over three miles.
Tips: AMERICAN MIKE & MINELLA DRAMA

A DIFFERENT KIND hasn’t been seen much over the last few years but his latest second was solid and he’s thrown in off this mark based on some of his peak chase efforts and past form in this sphere. He’s won two of his three starts at this venue, so that’s another positive, and he is worth an interest.
FOURONEOHFEVER got off the mark at Ludlow last time out and could prove hard to beat.
Tips: A DIFFERENT KIND & FOURONEOHFEVER
