Ludlow Place 6 preview | 11th October

14.10 – Welcome Back To Ludlow Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle – 1m7f

A tricky opener but STONIFIC is back on a dangerous mark and ran a nice race when second at Southwell last time. His last win came off a 19Ib higher mark, so he can be competitive. MINELLA PLUS gained his last win off a 24Ib higher mark over track and trip, albeit over fences, and could feature. Meanwhile CHARLES ST, who has found one too good in each of his last four starts in this sphere, will be fit after a couple of spins on the Flat and cannot be ruled out.

Tips: STONIFIC, MINELLA PLUS, CHARLES ST

14.45 – Ludlow Brewing Company Fillies’ Juvenile Maiden Hurdle – 1m7f

The trip across the channel should prove worthwhile for connections of KUNDALINE who sets the bar very high based on his French form in which he ran with credit in a Listed race when last spotted to finish fourth. Three-time French champion jump jockey James Reveley, who has ridden him the last twice, will come over to take his only ride on the card. He is a solid favourite and should be too good for these.

Tips: KUNDALINE

15.20 – JSR Construction Industrial Concrete Flooring Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase – 2m4f

REXEM has run really well in a trio of outings over fences in Ireland and this dual hurdles winner could prove hard to beat on his handicap chase debut with lots more to come.

Tips: REXEM

15.55 – Margaret Roberts Memorial Novices’ Hurdle – 2m5f

John McConnell’s LISNAMULT LAD has to be considered as the one to beat. He has won two of his three starts over hurdles and made an impressive first start in Britain at Hexham, winning by 37 lengths from the front. His Irish stable does so well in Britain and the six-year-old will be hard to topple. OOH BETTY has won her last couple of starts in good style and should be primed to run a big race on her return.

Tips: LISNAMULT LAD, OOH BETTY

16.30 – JSR Construction Building And Civil Engineering Mares’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m5f

VOICE OF CALM took well to fences last year and despite being ultimately outclassed in a Grade 2 when last seen, she is back down in grade from a handy mark back over hurdles. I think she’s got an excellent chance with plenty in her favour. REGAL RENAISSANCE returned an easy winner over track and trip in April and even though she was well beaten at Warwick since, she should be able to run better here.

Tips: VOICE OF CALM, REGAL RENAISSANCE

17.05 – Ludlow Brewing Company Handicap Chase – 2m7f

BACK ON THE LASH is better known these days for his exploits over the cross country fences at Cheltenham and is back down in class after tackling the Grand National last time. He is back on his last winning mark and is unbeaten in three starts at this course. Although he ran poorly last time, TOPOFTHECOTSWOLDS can operate from below his last winning mark and should feature in the outcome having won his last start here.

Tips: BACK ON THE LASH, TOPOFTHECOTSWOLDS
