Not a fan of these three runner events so the trio will go onto the list. MERANDI has steadily improved in each of his three starts and cannot be ruled out despite being the outsider of the party. PARADE AWAY won in tidy fashion at Stratford last time and has strong claims on hurdles debut. TITAN DISCOVERY finished runner-up in both starts last season and is the biggest danger to the former on hurdles debut.

TIQUE won her final bumper start before starting out over hurdles at Newton Abbot, where she was yet to be asked for an effort before taking a tumble three out. If she puts in a clear round this time, she should be too good for these. CHEAP FLIGHTS is an interesting newcomer though and will be partnered by Daryl Jacob, so she can be chosen as back-up.

DUKEHILL ran a good race when a close-up third at Perth two starts back and his latest start can be excused as he clearly didn’t handle the ground. Back down in class with possibly more to come, he should run a lot better. DEADLY MISSILE bounced back from a fall at Stratford to take second last time and a repeat of that performance might well suffice in this weak race.

LADY BERLAIS was sent off a heavy favourite last time but disappointed in fourth. She still has time on her side though and the fitting of headgear should help find the improvement. KENTFORD MALLARD is generally consistent at this level and is now operating from below her last winning mark, so she is definitely worthy of inclusion having run well at this course in the past too from much higher marks in tougher races. Excellent chance.

16.10 – Bill Chapman Memorial Handicap Chase – 2m4f
HELLFIRE PRINCESS won a bumper here last year and although her form over hurdles proved inconsistent, she did run well on a couple of occasions. She could raise her game now switched to the larger obstacles and is worth a chance in this uninspiring event. BEN BUIE resumed winning ways in good style at Warwick and while a new personal best is required off this mark, he has his chance.

16.45 – Vickers.Bet Weekly Free Bet Club Mares’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m3f
NEVER NO TROUBLE is extremely consistent, who has made the frame in her last six starts in this sphere, and only went down by a neck at Bangor. She is up to a career-high mark but should be competitive. ADMIRAL’S SUNSET mostly does his winning at Stratford but does have course-winning form off much higher marks and she should be in contention at this basement level.
