Wetherby Place 6 preview | 18th October

13.53 – Alfred Brown Worsted Mills Ltd Novices’ Hurdle – 2m3f

BOB BOB RICARD placed in all three bumper starts and the form of his second to Rock House has worked out really well, as the latter subsequently finished second in a Grade 2 at Chepstow. He is very much one to consider on hurdles debut in the opener.

Tips: Bob Bob Ricard

14.25 – Flipit Sell Your Car Better Handicap Chase – 1m7f

HOMME PUBLIC had another solid campaign last year and although he has yet to win off this mark, he has solid hurdles form in the book and is by far the class act in the field. He won his last visit here by more than five lengths and the runner-up has boosted the form in a big way since. He is sure to take to the fences given his pedigree and can defy top-weight before bigger assignments await him.

Tips: Homme Public

14.58 – Mary Lofthouse Supporting Spinal Research Juvenile Hurdle – 2m

The Ben Pauling-trained BINGLEY CROCKER could offer some value against the favourite. He has shown a fair amount of ability on the Flat and his trainer predominantly does well with hurdle debutants. I Still Have Faith has been in good form on the level as well but the former could turn out to be quite useful in this sphere and gets the verdict.

Tips: Bingley Crocker

15.33 – Bobby Renton Handicap Chase – 2m3f

DEYRANN DE CARJAC is surely going to cash-in on this mark on his return if he can perform to anything near his best. He twice ran well at a much higher level at Cheltenham last year and went close to scoring on his reappearance over track and trip twelve last season. With track, trip and conditions up his street, he can succeed.

Tips: Deyrann De Carjac

16.08 – bet365 Charlie Hall Meeting 3rd – 4th November Handicap Hurdle – 2m

FRANSHAM has multiple course wins to his name and came close to winning at this meeting last year when second from a 13Ib higher mark in a better race. His last win here was from a 14Ib higher mark, so he is well-treated over the smaller obstacles and another course win beckons for this Wetherby specialist.

Tips: Fransham

16.40 – Visit racingtv.com Handicap Hurdle – 3m

BELLES BENEFIT has continued to hold her form very well since scoring on stable debut at Fontwell. She ran very well for a long way on her reappearance at Cartmel and, with the likelihood she will be much fitter this time, she has valid place claims at least against these.

Tips: Belles Benefit
