Musselburgh Place 6 preview | 16th October

14.05 – Visit racingtv.com Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap – 1m

LUNA MAGIC is regularly seen in these amateur jockeys’ events and this is a good opportunity for her to get her head in front after a few near-misses of late. Just touched off the last twice by only a neck, she remains well treated on the pick of last year’s form and will be hard to beat. I will add in PURPLE CROWN who could improve for the fitting of a first-time tongue strap.

Tips: LUNA MAGIC, PURPLE CROWN

14.35 – 100% Racing TV Profits Back To Racing Selling Stakes – 1m4f

ACHNAMARA has ultimately been disappointing the last thrice but the form he produced last year would be good enough to see off these at this basement level. He is only a pound above his last winning mark and should be extremely competitive. The favourite Edge Of Darkness might be hard to beat but SKILLED WARRIOR has been given a good chance by the assessor.

Tips: ACHNAMARA, SKILLED WARRIOR

15.05 – Bet In Running On Racing At BetVictor Handicap – 5f

A first win in a handicap has still eluded LE BEAU GARCON but he has made the frame several times this year in tougher assignments off higher marks and should be going close in a race like this. VADAMIAH has only been raised 3Ib for his narrow defeat at Redcar last-time-out and ran well here earlier in this year off this exact mark. She should be thereabouts.

Tips: LE BEAU GARCON, VADAMIAH

15.35 – Racing TV Handicap – 7f

IMPULSIVE REACTION is a former C&D winner who is dropped into a class 6 for the first time with the application of cheekpieces. He is 4Ib lower than when third at Pontefract in a tougher race back in June and should be difficult to beat in this company. WITHOUT DELAY has been knocking on the door in recent months and her last win came at this course off a 2Ib higher mark.

Tips: IMPULSIVE REACTION, WITHOUT DELAY

16.10 – British EBF Ruby Anniversary Scottish Premier Fillies’ Handicap – 7f

SHADES OF SUMMER represents a stable in good form at present and ran a huge race in a class 2 at Salisbury on her penultimate when third. She wasn’t in the same form at Newmarket last time but she is still on a handy mark and can run well. MERSEA has a wide draw to overcome but she isn’t badly treated and could emerge as one of the leading players.

Tips: SHADES OF SUMMER, MERSEA

16.40 – Bet On This Race In Running With BetVictor Handicap – 1m7f

CANTALUPO BELLA is less exposed than most of her rivals and has filled the frame in three of her last four starts. She should be hard to topple now fitted with a first-time visor. LADY BRACKEN is one of the main dangers though, who ran her best race to date when second at Ayr and has been left on the same mark for this contest. She wouldn’t need to improve much more to run another good race.

Tips: CANTALUPO BELLA, LADY BRACKEN
