Carlisle Place 6 preview | 19th June

14.20 – Join Racing TV Now Restricted Maiden Stakes – 5f

PROJECT GEOFIN made a lovely introduction when second on debut at Beverley and did well to grab that slot considering he was in a poor position throughout. Open to further improvement, he should go well. THE GOOD BISCUIT is an interesting newcomer, while CONSOLING should build on her debut fourth.

Tips: Project Geofin, The Good Biscuit, Consoling

14.50 – Enjoy A RacingTV Free Trial Fillies’ Novice Stakes – 5f

BUGLE BEADS displayed plenty of promise when fifth of 12 on debut at Windsor a couple of weeks ago and would have finished much closer with a clear passage. She should have a lot more to offer, especially dropping down in distance and is strongly fancied to at least make the frame.

Tips: Bugle Beads

15.20 – Ann Stewart 60th Birthday Handicap – 5f

VARIETY ISLAND has spent a long time winless but the handicapper has given him a serious chance off this mark. He made the frame five times last year off higher marks and shaped really well when fifth at Wetherby last time. He is one of the best handicapped horses in the race and should be able to give the favourite plenty to think about.

Tips: Variety Island

15.50 – Every Race Live On RacingTV Handicap – 1m3f

APLINA EXPRESS won easily on her turf/handicap debut at Ayr 6 days ago and whilst she has to carry a penalty, she should prove hard to beat. OPTICIAN fared best of those when held-up when third at Wetherby last-time-out and should have more to come over this longer distance. He is included as a back-up option for the former.

Tips: Alpina Express, Optician

16.20 – Racing With Pride Handicap – 1m3f

GRACES QUEST won this race comfortably last year and then bagged another C&D success earlier this month. Her two runs since have been a little disappointing but she’s a big player at this course. Hugo Palmer’s GLITTERING CHOICE won her sole visit to this course off a 2Ib higher mark and is another to consider.

Tips: Graces Quest, Glittering Choice

16.53 – racingtv.com Fillies’ Handicap – 6f

Hugo Palmer’s DEBATER has shown promise and ability in most of her runs to date and is eased into a class 6 on the turf for the first time here. Joe Fanning is an interesting jockey booking and this filly should prove to be better than a mark of 61. PURPLE MARTINI has won two of her three starts this year and is the one to beat.

Tips: Debater, Purple Martini
