It’s difficult to look beyond IMPERIAL SACHIN’S, who has improved with each start for current connections and this is a good chance for him to complete the hat-trick with more to offer. MR YEATS was behind Lelantos last time but meets that rival on better terms and has place possibilities once more with Bradley Harris claiming his eight-pounds again too.

14.15 – Yorton & Goffs UK Sale 8th September Mares’ Maiden Hurdle (GBB Race) – 2m
MASKED MATGIL went very close on debut in a bumper and comfortably made no mistake next time when winning with loads in hand. She appears the type to advance her form over hurdles and her trainer and jockey both have their only runner and ride on the card. This promising filly is strongly fancied to make a winning hurdles debut here. Gold Wing can chase her home.

14.45 – tote Never Beaten By SP Handicap Chase – 3m
GO ON CHEZ lost his unbeaten record over fences last time, where the longer trip found him out in the closing stages, but he had earlier completed a five-timer at Aintree and is fancied to return to winning ways over this shorter distance. RED HAPPY won three times last season though, and could pose a threat if able to bounce back from a heavy defeat in a stronger event when last sighted.

15.15 – Nightingale House Hospice Handicap Chase – 2m4f
THE GOLDEN REBEL is my best bet on the card here. He was only eighth in the Staffordshire Plate last time but the trip was the reason he didn’t finish closer and his earlier fourth at Ayr is the best form on offer in this easier race. He is only three pounds higher than when winning easily at Doncaster back in December and has low mileage for his age, so the top-weight can make a bold bid in order to resume winning ways dropped in grade.

15.45 – GBR Everyone’s Turf Handicap Hurdle – 2m
FENNA’S LOSS made a successful hurdles debut on his penultimate start and ran well when second last time at Perth despite practically setting the race up for the eventual winner. He should go very well on handicap debut. NORLEY is generally consistent and shaped well on his return when fourth at Worcester. The seven-year-old is feared most for the Ben Pauling team.

16.20 – Nightingale House Hospice Charity Collection Handicap Hurdle – 2m3f
BRIDGE ROAD should have arguably won his last two starts in which he’s been narrowly denied in each of those. He has gone up a couple of pounds since his narrow defeat again last time but he’s going the right way and this course should play to his strengths. This is a bit easier than last time so he has every chance of going one place better with loads more to come.
