Ayr Place 6 preview | 11th December

11.50 – Coral Get Closer To The Action Junior ‘National Hunt’ Hurdle – 2m

ROCHEVAL made an impressive winning start at Aintree in a bumper last month and should be difficult to beat on his hurdles debut, with more to come. I WISH YOU couldn’t get to grips with the former in that race but still ran well to take second and could bridge the gap.

Tips: ROCHEVAL, I WISH YOU

12.20 – Coral ‘National Hunt’ Maiden Hurdle – 2m

FLORIDA DREAMS wasn’t seen to the best of effect when only third on his hurdles debut over C&D last month and should be able to leave that form behind him here. He was unbeaten in two starts in bumpers, and his Grade 2 success at Aintree is still fresh in the memory. He can prove too good for these.

Tips: FLORIDA DREAMS

12.50 – Coral ‘National Hunt’ Maiden Hurdle – 2m

ESPRIT DU POTIER developed into a pretty useful bumper performer last season, winning twice here prior to a fair sixth in the Grade 2 at Aintree race that Florida Dreams won. He found one too good on his reappearance on hurdles debut at Kelso, but he should prove a stronger proposition this time and should go close.

Tips: ESPRIT DU POTIER

13.20 – Coral Racings Club Handicap Chase – 3m

MAROWN has plenty of good-quality form on a soft surface, including a second in a Grade 2 race, and has three course wins in his locker. He might need this after an absence, but he’s dangerous to dismiss. NED TANNER often saves his best for Kelso but has won here and will love conditions. He is a must for the shortlist.

Tips: MAROWN, NED TANNER

13.50 – Coral Racing Bet Bundles Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f

BALLYCOOSE ran a tidy race when fourth in a big-field event at Navan three weeks ago and has won here in the past, so he’s one to merit consideration. RAFFERTY’S RETURN is only 1Ib lower than when he last got his head in front and is feared. MACK THE MAN has done all of his wins in handicaps off higher marks and should be in the mix.

Tips: BALLYCOOSE, RAFFERTY’S RETURN, MACK THE MAN

14.20 – Play Coral ‘Racing-Super-Series’ For Free Novices’ Hurdle – 2m5f

INOX ALLEN made a winning stable debut in a heavy-ground Hexham maiden hurdle last month and is of serious interest. Irish raider ANNAGHBERG ran really well when third on his rules debut at Down Royal and must be considered a player.

Tips: INOX ALLEN, ANNAGHEBEG
