Worchester Place 6 betting preview | October 27th

13.20 – Fred And Mercy Rimell Memorial Mares’ Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m7f

WALK IN CLOVER showed a decent level of form over hurdles, with three placed efforts and a decisive 20 length victory at Leicester the only time she tackled soft ground and is a huge player here. She’s undergone wind surgery since last seen, which could bring about more improvement and is therefore fancied to outclass these on handicap chase debut.

Selections: Walk In Clover

13.55 – Richard Davies Memorial Handicap Chase – 2m4f

LIMETREE BOY was well below form at Exeter when last spotted but the form of his previous win and when third on debut to Hillcrest is quality form in the context of this grade. He should easily advance his form now tackling the bigger obstacles and his opening mark of 114 is lenient to say the least. JET PLANE would have won a good race at Warwick without falling at the last and while his form has been patchy since winning at Ludlow, he makes his chase debut off an attractive mark and could go well.

Selections: Limetree Boy, Jet Plane

14.30 – Get Pulling With PJ Nicholls SsangYong Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m

MASTER BLAZE was pretty useful when trained in France and although he was well beaten at Stratford earlier this month, he could do better here with the blinkers applied. HALF THE FREEDOM ran well at Chepstow last time when fourth on handicap debut and could better that form here with that experience under his belt.

Selections: Master Blaze, Half The Freedom

15.05 – FBC Manby Bowdler Maiden Hurdle – 2m4f

PEARLY ISLAND has ran very well to make the frame the last two times and has had subsequent winners in behind in both of those events so the form has substance. He’s got a solid chance here. FAME AND CONCRETE won well on debut and was a good second at Newbury last time. He could easily go close on hurdles debut with more to come.

Selections: Pearly Island, Fame And Concrete

15.40 – FBC Manby Bowdler Maiden Hurdle – 2m4f

HEADS OR HARPS is related to top-class hurdler Harchibald and represents a stable who have a decent record with newcomers. I am interested to see how he gets on here as he could turn out to be above-average. He is Michael Scudamore’s only runner on the card and is therefore selected to go well on debut here. HARDY FELLA was consistent in bumpers and even made the frame in a red-hot Listed event at Cheltenham. He’s since joined Emma Lavelle and has an excellent chance on hurdles debut.

Selections: Heads Or Harps, Hardy Fella

16.15 – Mark Dunphy Supporting Racing Tee’s Merchandise Handicap Hurdle – 2m7f

COME ON GRUFF relished soft ground when beating a couple of subsequent winners at Ludlow back in March with a lot to spare. Given the second has won off 122 since, Tom George’s charge is well-treated off 117 here. He’s won two of his four starts over hurdles and should appreciate this longer distance so he’s a key player on his return.

Selections: Come On Gruff
