MACKENBERG’s record in class 3 events or lower reads 323111112U3. His short-head second over C&D on his last start here came off a 4lb higher mark, and he was desperately unlucky not to defy that same mark at Hereford two starts later, when 15 lengths clear at the final fence, only to unseat his rider. He has an excellent chance with his latest encouraging run under his belt. INTO OVERDRIVE has a good record at this course and could exceed market expectations, while CERENDIPITY is another worth a second look.

AIRE SPRAY was running a big race here on his hurdles debut before falling three out and made a winning handicap bow last time out. Despite a 6lb rise, he should go well. MAXIBOY DAGROSTIS finished third in a race that has worked out well (winner has won since) and could be well treated off a mark of 100. FOREST BLAZE is another to have gone up in the handicap for winning last time out, but he must be respected.

LARGY FORCE has yet to finish outside of the frame in all of her six starts to date (bumper/hurdles and chase). Today’s longer trip should bring about improvement, and she ought to be going close. HEVA ROSE won two of her last three starts in this sphere and was last seen taking a much stronger race. She’s gone well fresh in the past, so she’s a definite player.

ATREIDES has continued to maintain a solid level of form, placing in three of her last four starts and could be seriously involved if appreciating the step-up in distance. ENTITY OF SUBSTANZ ran well under a positive ride last time out when second and has solid claims, with the same applied to GLORY HEIGHTS, who is in good form.
