13.15 JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle

EAST INDIA DOCK has looked above average in winning both of his starts and should prove difficult to beat. SAUVIGNON is an interesting addition to Paul Nicholls team, though, having won two of his three starts in France and could make an impact.

MOON D’ORANGE is lurking near the foot of the weights and Sean Bowen has done very well for this stable over the years, so he must be shortlisted. IMPERIAL SAINT has won three of his four chase starts and has more to come, while top-weight GINNY’S DESTINY is another to consider dropped in grade.

L’HOMME PRESSE is a dual Grade 1 winner and should be fitter after his comeback third in the King George. He is the one to beat with everything in his favour. His main danger is GENTLEMANSGAME ahead of DELTA WORK, who would have a chance if he can rekindle some of his best form.

CONSTITUTION HILL is hard to oppose after a superb comeback win in the Christmas Hurdle and should be too good for today’s opposition before returning here in March to potentially regain his Champion Hurdle crown.

15.35 Betfair Cleeve Hurdle

CRAMBO claimed his second Long Walk Hurdle win at Ascot last time out and although he needs to prove he can handle the undulations of this course, I’m convinced he’s the best horse in the race and can prove his doubters wrong with success. The consistent GOWEL ROAD is played as cover.
