BELLE LE GRAND should take a bit of beating in the opener. The form of her bumper win at Fairyhouse has worked out well with the runner-up going in since and she shaped promisingly on her stable debut when third at Ascot back in February. With a clear round, she should be too good for today’s opponents.

Tips: BELLE LE GRAND

FINEST VIEW was consistent in handicaps last summer, finishing runner-up four times in succession, and has been given a good chance by the assessor if ready for this race. LAND OF THE MOON has James Bowen on his back and could be competitive off what appears to be a fair mark.

Tips: FINEST VIEW & LAND OF MOON

GRANNY HAWKINS only found one too good when runner-up on her handicap debut here last month, and this longer trip could unlock further improvement off only a 2lb higher mark. LEAVE HER TO ME grinded out victory at Hereford back in March and is another to consider off only a 4lb higher mark.

Tips: GRANNY HAWKINS & LEAVE HER TO ME

I’M A STARMAN capitalised on a reduced mark when successful at Carlisle last month and a 3lb rise shouldn’t prevent a bold bid under Harry Cobden. SPORTY JIM is well handicapped on the pick of his form last year and cannot be dismissed at higher odds.

Tips: I’M A STARMAN & SPORTY JIM

BEGIN THE LUCK finished a decent second off this mark last time out and repeat showing should see him in the frame. ANOTHER MILLION has not kicked on from his chase debut success, but has fallen to a nice mark, and could surprise off top weight.

Tips: BEGIN THE LUCK & ANOTHER MILLION

INDEMNITY was smart on the Flat and has improved with each run in this sphere, including a comfortable win at Huntingdon last time out, so he’s very much the one to beat. SOLEIL D’ARIZONA also won last time out at Haydock and is feared most ahead of RAGNARSON, who was a half-length second at Chepstow last month.

Tips: INDEMNITY, SOLEIL D’ARIZONA & UHTRED RAGNARSON
