GOLDEN CIRCET achieved a good level of form on the Flat and shaped quite nicely when fourth on handicap debut at Plumpton. He is sure to improve, and this is a weak event, so he can have a say in the outcome.

The one I like here is SAMUEL SPADE. He didn’t jump well on his chase debut behind Sunray Shadow but won his penultimate start and wasn’t disgraced in the Summer Cup at this course last time out. I can see Ben Pauling’s charge running a big race.

ASK A SAINT let down his supporters when last seen but is worth another chance. He had previously bolted up over C&D by nine lengths and should be able to get back on track. I think he’s got a good chance in a race that should be run to suit.

THEONLYWAYISESSEX is up to a career-high mark of 115 but he was so impressive when winning at Warwick six weeks ago and could just get the perfect setup. The eight-year-old can go very well in his bid for back-to-back wins.
