KARAVOMYLOS finished last after a long break last time out but should be fitter now and he’s interestingly going straight over fences with that run under his belt. He’s also dropped in grade, so if he does improve for the larger obstacles, then he should go well in the opener.

15.10 RCA Summer Jumps Championship Handicap Chase

The drop in grade should see FRENCH SYMPHONY put up more of an effort when push comes to shove. Ben Jones and Ben Pauling do very well in these type of events and this six-year-old looks ready to produce a career-best performance in what is a thin event.

15.45 Grace & Dotty Fedora’s And Feathers Novices’ Handicap Hurdle

IOLAOS DU MOU showed a good attitude to get the job done at Warwick when last seen and a 6lb rise doesn’t seem overly harsh. He is likely to get a soft lead in this event and should he be able to dictate, then there’s every chance of him doubling his tally over timber.

ILESTDANCINGSPIRIT is continuing to improve with each start and having pushed a next-time-out winner to within a neck after a long absence at Market Rasen in March, he filled the same spot at Uttoxeter last time out. He should be able to give this another good go from the front.

16.50 Golf And Gallop Mares’ Handicap Hurdle

GRANNY HAWKINS looked the likely winner last time out until she didn’t appear to stay the trip, so this slight reduction should suit, and her mark has been left unaltered. She looks sure to be thereabouts at the business end having placed on both handicap starts to date.

17.20 Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap Hurdle

This isn’t a strong race and SHADOWS IN THE SKY should go well. He’s made a positive start for this stable with a win and two seconds from three starts and should prove difficult to beat off an unchanged mark since his effort behind Harry’s Hope at Warwick five days ago.
