Perth Place 6 preview | 27th September

14.20 – Paul Ferguson’s Jumpers To Follow EBF Mares’ NH Novices’ Hurdle – 2m4f

CONDESA made a sparkling start to her hurdles career when sauntering to success at this course by seven lengths in July, which came after a long absence. Highly tried in bumpers back in 2021, she is clearly making up for lost time and should have more to come now stepping up in distance. EL ELEFANTE has looked promising in winning both her starts under rules to date, including here last time, and is also of interest on her hurdles debut.

Tips: CONDESA, EL ELEFANTE

14.55 – Lord Mansfield Memorial Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f

AURORA THUNDER is very well-treated on the pick of his form, particularly his win at the start of last year at Musselburgh, which came off a 10Ib higher mark. His second over C&D last May, off a 13Ib higher mark, also reads well, so he’s not to be taken lightly in this easier grade. DALILEO has predominantly run well at this course and is another who could have a say in the outcome from his low-weight.

Tips: AURORA THUNDER, DALILEO

15.30 – Join Racings TV Now Handicap Chase – 2m4f

SO BE IT ran poorly last time but previously ran well in three consecutive outings at this course and most likely would have won on his penultimate start here without a bad mistake at the second last when in the lead and going well. He is greatly respected, while SPUTNIK, winner of two races last year, has reached the frame in three of his last four starts to suggest his turn might again be near.

Tips: SO BE IT, SPUTNIK

16.05 – Bet With The Dewhurst Ring Jet Master Handicap Hurdle – 2m

VOCAL DUKE is now 2Ib below his last winning mark and while his recent form has hardly been noteworthy, he will find the drop in class to his liking and has a good chance of bouncing back to form at this level. CUBAN CIGAR has hit the frame in both starts at this course including last time in a stronger race when second and should be thereabouts with his jockey taking off 7Ib.

Tips: VOCAL DUKE, CUBAN CIGAR

16.40 – Paul Ferguson’s Jumpers To Follow David Whitaker Handicap Chase – 2m7f

A Listed winner and Grade 1 placed mare over hurdles, HAUTE ESTIME has yet to replicate that form in this sphere but she will find this easier than when third over C&D last time in a Listed race and is the biggest danger to the winning machine BORN FAMOUS. The latter is unbeaten in six starts for this stable and her course form reads 1111 from four starts. She could keep her winning sequence going back over fences.

Tips: HAUTE ESTIME, BORN FAMOUS

17.12 – Sustainable Events At Perth Racecourse Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f

CONFELICITY made a bold bid from the front here last time when only worn down in the closing stages and could gain compensation over this favourable shorter distance under similarly positive ride. PRINCE NINO is two-from-two over C&D though and could complete the hat-trick whilst in great form despite his new career-high mark.

Tips: CONFELICITY, PRINCE NINO
