14.15 – Churchill Tyres Apprentice Handicap – 1m1f
STAR START has been a model of consistency this year, who’s form since July reads 1222312 and has finished second in both previous starts at this course. He is the one to beat, while BROCTUNE RED, who’s extremely consistent, has course-winning form and has placed in his last three starts. He is sure to be competitive.

14.50 – George Kilburn Memorial EBF Fillies’ Restricted Novice Stakes – 1m
NINA RAPIDA has hit the line strongly on both starts to finish fourth and should be suited to the step up in distance. She’s sure to be competitive with improvement on the cards. REALLY DARN HOT is likely to set the pace and will attempt to burn these off from the front under Jason Hart, who’s a quality rider at dictating the pace.

15.25 – McCabe 20th Wedding Anniversary Restricted Novice Stakes – 5f
This race is a great chance for ZIGGY’S CONDOR to get back to winning ways. He has made the frame in two good races at York since winning easily on debut at Pontefract and will find this significantly easier. He has to carry a penalty but looks a class above these and it would come as a major shock if he didn’t at least fill the frame but I reckon he wins.

16.00 – Eddie And Violet Smith Conditions Stakes – 5f
KORKER still has his habitual slow-starts but when he’s on-song, he’s a very good horse and would have gone close in the Beverley Bullet over C&D last year with a clear passage. He was sent off joint-favourite that day, so he is going to find this drop in grade to his liking and remains the one to beat. MARINE WAVE went close in a Listed race four days ago though and is the realistic threat on paper and form.

16.35 – Judy Blower Premier Superstar Retirement ebfstallions.com Novice Stakes – 7f
The Charlie Hills-trained CONDE did plenty wrong when down the field at Goodwood last time but this is easier and he should take a lot of beating here having displayed promise in all of his four starts up to now. ARCTIC SUNRISE represents a stable in quality form and she could be ready to make a serious impact by troubling the favourite.

17.10 – Dennis Smith Memorial Handicap – 7f
ZOZIMUS came close to capitalising on his reduced mark when second last time and remains well-treated off this mark given he was fourth in the 2021 Cambridgeshire off a 7Ib higher mark, which was a much tougher race. He has a great chance to win for the first time in the UK. Add in METAHORSE whose placed four times this year off higher marks this year and can get involved.
