Nottingham Place 6 betting preview | August 12th

13.10 – Weatherbys Stallion Book EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes

This isn’t a strong race, so perhaps ANGE DE L’AMOUR will build on her latest third and go close to winning this contest with a lot more to come over this trip. HI CLARE has also displayed promise in both her starts to date and should make a bold bid if positive tactics are deployed again. Even if she can’t win this, she should be more than capable of hitting the frame for her in-form connections.

Selections: ANGE DE L’AMOUR, HI CLARE

13.45 – Weatherbys Global Stallions App Handicap

NO GUTS NO GLORY hasn’t looked straightforward under pressure but he was solid in defeat at Ripon last-time-out and should be competitive back in this handicap event. I was a little disappointed COLEY’S COKO couldn’t finish closer than fourth last time but he gets into this race off bottom-weight and a top jockey has been booked to ride, so there’s every chance this four-year-old will pose a threat if he can go the early gallop here.

Selections: NO GUTS NO GLORY, COLEY’S COKO

14.20 – weatherbysshop.co.uk Handicap

Karl Burke’s SILKY WILKIE is having a brilliant year and has won three times and finished second three times in his last six starts. He produced a career-best performance just five days ago and surprisingly escapes a penalty, so he rates the one to beat. LEODIS DREAM came within a neck of victory at York last time and despite going back up another three-pounds, he may go one better in this slightly easier race.

Selections: SILKY WILKIE, LEODIS DREAM

14.55 – Weatherbys Hamilton Maiden Stakes – 1m

INDEMNIFY easily brings the best form to the table, who shaped well when fourth on debut in a large-field at Newbury and then when twice runner-up in novices at Doncaster and Newcastle in June. Roger Varian’s short-priced favourite should have no trouble in getting off the mark in this event, unless one of the two newcomers turn out to be above-average.

Selections: INDEMNIFY

15.25 – Weatherbys Bloodstock Pro Colwick Cup Handicap – 2m

RED FORCE ONE has been in the form of his life lately and Phil Kirby’s charge forged clear in good style at York three weeks ago to complete the hat-trick. This new mark clearly demands another career-best, but the seven-year-old has Ryan Sexton back in the saddle, who takes off five-pounds, and another bold effort is expected from this consistent stayer in this wide-open race.

Selections: RED FORCE ONE

15.55 – Weatherbys Racing Bank Fillies’ Handicap – 1m2f

SHAARA beat an odds-on favourite over C&D in June and ran well when third at Leicester last-time-out. Roger Varian’s filly might have been let in here lightly on handicap debut and she could easily feature in the outcome. TERRA MITICA beat a subsequent Listed winner at Salisbury last month and, with Ryan Moore taking over in the saddle, she could be hard to beat.

Selections: SHAARA, TERRA MITICA
