Newcastle Betting Preview

13.00 – JenningsBet Handicap – 1m4f

Kevin Ryan’s THUNDERING travelled very well en route to a good second when stepped up in trip at Doncaster last time. He will make his handicap debut off a fair mark of 79 and, with more to come, he could go one better here. James Horton’s LIQUID METRIC has shown promise in three runs to date and should figure off what is a fair mark.

Selections: THUNDERING, LIQUID METRIC

13.35 – Pertemps Network Novice Stakes (GBB Race) – 6f

REVISION is very well-bred and is likely to attract some market support on debut for the Kevin Ryan team. He could go well, while ARBOUR LANE, another debutant, who’s a daughter of Dutch Art, is interesting for Richard Fahey. I don’t think those with experience set a high standard, so I’ll take one of the newcomers to shine.

Selections: REVISION, ARBOUR LANE

14.10 – Pertemps Education Network Handicap – 1m

ODD SOCKS HAVANA has a good record here with his last three figures here reading a win and two seconds. He remains six-pounds above his last winning mark but should give his running once more, while ROCKET ROD opened his account over C&D last time with plenty to spare and could follow-up if in similar form.

Selections: ODD SOCKS HAVANA, ROCKET ROD

14.45 – JenningsBet Seaton Delaval Handicap – 1m

LA TIHATY has been highly tried the last two times and can be excused for last time when drawn on the wrong side of the course. He beat a 107-rated horse back in February, so he’s got a bit of class, and could easily defy top-weight in this small-field event. HARTSWOOD won this last year off a seven-pounds higher mark and is feared most.

Selections: LA TIHATY, HARTSWOOD

15.20 – Bet With JenningsBet Handicap – 5f

KAPE MOSS is a useful filly and gained her second victory in this grade in the turf last time in good style. She’s open to more improvement and won here on her only previous visit to the course, so is a player. LOVELY MANA is having a good year and ran her useful solid race when last spotted. The same can be expected here.

Selections: KAPE MOSS, LOVELY MANA

15.55 – Pertemps Riverside Restricted Novice Stakes – 7f

LION OF WAR, a son of Roaring Lion, impressed when scoring on debut at Leicester and while he’s shouldering a penalty here, he could be too classy for these and is taken to remain undefeated. POST OFFICE ROAD shaped well on debut when third and should keep the favourite honest with more to come on the back of that eye-catching run at Carlisle.

Selections: LION OF WAR, POST OFFICE ROAD
