Ludlow Place 6 Preview | 30th March
14.27 Weatherbys nhstallions.co.uk Novices’ Hurdle
SCARLET MOON can take the opener. Archie Watson’s charge was useful on the Flat and has been solid over hurdles to date. The drop in trip will be more his bag and his two placed efforts at Musselburgh in January looks like solid pieces of form. He can resume winning ways.
Tips: SCARLET MOON
14.57 G.C.Rickards Mares’ Handicap Chase
The narrow vote goes to KIT’S COTY. She scored over C&D late last year on her reappearance off this mark and should be winning again soon. His subsequent efforts haven’t been bad, so in what is a winnable event, Emma Lavelle’s charge can register another course win.
Tips: KIT’S COTY
15.27 Ben Chambers Memorial Handicap Hurdle
It’s hard to de pash JACKOMY, who comfortably got off the mark at Wincanton seven days ago and must have every chance of defying the penalty. This is a poor event, so the six-year-old can justify favouritism at the expense of Oakley’s Way.
Tips: JACKOMY
15.57 Weatherbys Racing Bank Handicap Chase
THE KALOOKI KID has been operating below his best form of late but he’s capable of smart form and the step up to three miles might see him in a better light. Your Darling and Annsam head the list of dangers. This is a very good race for the grade.
Tips: THE KALOOKI KID
16.27 Parkinsons Awareness Handicap Hurdle
JACK HYDE might be able to defy his big weight in this race. He’s used to competing in stronger events and is down to a favourable mark. The eight-year-old might prefer being back on a sounder surface, so he looks set to play a major part in the outcome.
Tips: JACK HYDE
16.57 Bob Cashmore & Michael Davies Open Hunters’ Chase
I really like the claims of NORTHERN BOUND, who has course-winning form and bolted up at Worcester last May following a break. With conditions in his favour, the 12-year-old is fancied to give the favourite plenty to think about.
Tips: NORTHERN BOUND
