Ludlow Place 6 preview | 23rd March

14.25 – Balfours LLP Novices’ Hurdle

FUJI ROCKS was behind Welsh Charger when sixth last time over C&D but travelled well and should strip fitter here. He should bridge the gap with that run under his belt, while GALLOPADE was third in that respective race and has Harry Cobden in the saddle this time. If he settles better, he could reverse the form with the runner-up in this race on these better terms.

Selections: GALLOPADE, FUJI ROCKS

15.00 – Mark Wiggin Estate Agents Novices’ Handicap Chase

CHARLES RITZ scored on his debut over hurdles and hasn’t been disgraced in either start since. I think he will be an even better chaser given his size and scope and, off a really fair mark, Tom George’s charge could be hard to beat. FIRE DANCER let his supporters down at Cheltenham last time but impressed on his stable debut over C&D before that effort and could resume his progress.

Selections: CHARLES RITZ, FIRE DANCER

15.35 – Omnia Art Handicap Hurdle

KILLALOAN is going the right way over hurdles and has won his last couple of starts. He has a penalty to shoulder on this occasion but Paul Nicholls’ charge still looks well-handicapped off this mark with more to come and is fancied to complete the hat-trick. MAMOON STAR stayed on well for the third spot last time and is feared.

Selections: KILLALOAN, MAMOON STAR

16.10 – Bromfield Sand And Gravel Handicap Chase

CONCETTO has excelled under positive rides the last twice in this sphere, where he has jumped well to score from the front and a 9Ib rise for that latest success shouldn’t prevent him from going close to completing the three-timer here. In addition, his trainer’s runners are in excellent form as well.

Selections: CONCETTO

15.45 – W.R.Partners David Jones Memorial Maiden Hurdle

The Emma Lavelle-trained TIGHTENOURBELTS has been unfortunate to bump into two nice prospects from the Paul Nicholls stable in both starts over hurdles but has made each of those work hard. This is an excellent opportunity for him to go one better with every indication he will rank higher in due course.

Selections: TIGHTENOURBELTS

17.20 – E F G Harris Allday Handicap Hurdle

NO NO TANGO improved from previous efforts when runner-up on handicap debut at Huntingdon in January and took another step forward when third last time. He’s a strong contender, as is DUKE OF MORAVIA, who will relish this distance, ran a nice race when third last time and has Harry Cobden in the saddle.

Selections: NO NO TANGO, DUKE OF MORAVIA
