The opener can go the way of CREM FRESH, who is sure to be really competitive if backing up her eye-catching comeback run when second over course-and-distance. The winner has let the form down since but she’s gone close in all three starts in handicaps and can finally get her head in front. TALKINGOFTALK would have a chance if able to produce her third in Ireland.

JUST OVER LAND is related to some very decent horses and improved from his hurdles debut tumble to finish fourth at Ludlow last time, which reads well in the context of this race. He could open his account for Sam Thomas, who is having an excellent season. JIKALA only found one too good here on her hurdles debut and while she needs to put aside a lesser effort since, she is a huge danger to the former.

A wild chance is taken on an outsider in the shape of EARCOMESBOB, who shaped better than the beaten margin suggested when fourth at this course in November. He is a couple of pounds lower now following a fourth at Huntingdon and might offer some value to eliminate some units. BORN AT MIDNIGHT tends to at least make the frame when completing and should go well again as most of these struggle for consistency with the exception of himself.

CREDO has to concede a lot of weight to her rivals but her latest win at Warwick when scoring by 13 lengths was impressive and this course often favours those who are up with the pace. Her trainer seems keen to exploit the exact same winning mark as last time over hurdles and is a major contender. MARTHA BRAE has been second the last three times and is greatly respected.

SUPASUNRISE isn’t the most consistent of horses but his third here two starts ago over track and trip was decent and he is 1Ib lower for this assignment. He could pose a threat, while the consistent ON THE PLATFORM is weighted to reverse the latest form with Family Pot and has obvious claims from an unchanged mark whilst in good form at present.

SINISTER MINISTER came within three parts of a length of scoring in a stronger race at Worcester last time and a similar performance in this contest from a 1Ib higher mark should see him go one better, KINGFAST drops in grade from a reduced mark and has valid claims if able to reproduce his hurdles debut second, which is amongst the strongest form in the field.
