Lingfield Place 6 preview | 18th April

14.00 – At The Races App Form Study Handicap – 7f

With only 5Ib separating all seven runners, this is a tricky opener, in which a touch of luck is required but AURORA DAWN goes into the handicapping scenario from a nice mark after showing promise in her three previous starts and is a key player. ALBERT CEE was only beaten half-a-length into second last time and would go close with a repeat performance.

Selections: AURORA DAWN, ALBERT CEE

14.35 – Follow AtTheRaces On Twitter Handicap – 6f

Alaskan ran so poorly last time that he has to be taken on and preference is for MICK SAYS NO, who drops in grade after running well in two class 3 events at Wolverhampton. She’s the one to beat in this grade from a lenient opening handicap mark. IMPERIOUSITY has knocked on the door here the last twice and has a chance in a first-time hood.

Selections: MICK SAYS NO, IMPERIOUSITY

15.10 – At The Races App Market Movers Novice Stakes – 1m

EMACULATE SOLDIER cost €350,000 at the breeze-ups and his connections have an outstanding record on the all-weather, so he could be ready for the task ahead on debut, though TAWAFEG took the spoils when last seen at Wolverhampton. Roger Varian’s charge is the one to beat on that evidence.

Selections: EMACULATE SOLDIER, TAWAFAG

15.45 – Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap – 5f

BATTLE POINT is back in a handicap off a career-low mark and has placed four times off higher marks. He was third over C&D twice before his fifth at Wolverhampton and has a good chance on these terms, while SPARKED won over C&D back in September from only a pound lower mark and should be thereabouts.

Selections: BATTLE POINT, SPARKED

16.20 – At The Races App Expert Tips Restricted Novice Stakes – 1m2f

This can go to LORDSHIP, who improved from his debut sixth to finish a running-on fourth at Wolverhampton last time. He was bumped at the start but made late gains when the race was practically over, so the step up in trip can only be seen as a positive. He is drawn well in stall 1 and is expected to play a leading role.

Selections: LORDSHIP

16.55 – Sky Sports Racing HD Virgin 535 Fillies’ Handicap – 1m2f

RECERCHER remains winless but she’s been remarkably consistent in defeat and her latest third on stable debut in a class 3 over C&D is the best form on offer. She is significantly down in grade, is drawn nicely in 4 and her two placed efforts last year on the turf read well. This has to be her race for the taking if the appliance of cheek-pieces have a positive outcome.

Selections: RECERCHER
