Kelso Place 6 preview | 20th September

15.30 – Bentley Edinburgh Handicap Hurdle – 2m2f

IOLANI is consistent nowadays but he has made the frame twice this year off higher marks he was well beaten on his stable debut three weeks ago. He is 9Ib lower than when he last won plus he is a career-low mark. He is interesting, while AMBASSADOR could get back on track after failing to sparkle in his hat-trick bid three weeks ago.

Tips; IOLANI, AMBASSADOR

16.05 – Belhaven Brewery Handicap Chase – 2m1f

CEDAR HILL has four C&D wins to his name and is only 3Ib higher than for winning at Perth last time. His last win over C&D was from a 2Ib higher mark, so he is the one to beat. FUSAIN is sure to strip fitter from his return after five months last week, where he would have been a good third without a mistake at the last fence and has solid claims at least having won twice in this grade earlier in the year.

Tips: CEDAR HILL, FUSAIN

16.40 – Ferguson Planning & Development 10th Anniversary Novices’ Hurdle – 2m4f

IDEM had placed in all four starts in bumpers before making a winning hurdles debut at Hexham when beating the useful Miss Lamb. He is stepping up in trip but is open to improvement and could defy his penalty. THE BIG JETAWAY has to shrug aside a below-par run last time but could get back on track having won his three previous starts. Realistically, this should be between both of these.

Tips: IDEM, THE BIG JETAWAY

17.15 – Bentley Edinburgh Handicap Hurdle – 2m2f

A SHINING MOON has yet to compete beyond two miles but he ran well on his last start over hurdles to finish second and is only 1Ib higher for this contest. He has run well on the Flat since and should be competitive. DARKEST DAY scored comfortably at this course eight days ago and has every chance of following-up if in the same form in this quick turnaround.

Tips: A SHINING MOON, DARKEST DAY

17.50 – Paul Ferguson’s Jumpers To Follow Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f

SEBASTOPOL is by far the class act in the field, who is rated 12Ib and upwards superior to these and looked as good as ever back over hurdles when easily scoring off a 6Ib lower mark in this grade at Newton Abbot. He has won off this mark over fences plus he’s a Grade 2 winner so the top-weight is fancied to double his tally over timber. GLINGER FLAME is 5Ib better off with Bucko’s Boy than when third behind the latter last time and cannot be ruled out.

Tips: SEBASTOPOL, GLINGER FLAME

18.25 – Start Your RacingTV Freetrial Now Handicap Chase – 2m5f

HIDDEN COMMANDER has good course form and has won over track and trip from a 2Ib higher mark in the past. His last start here, back in May, saw him finish a half-a-length second off a 9Ib higher mark to The Ferry Master. A repeat of that will surely suffice at this easier level.

Tips: HIDDEN COMMANDER
