13.30 – cavani.co.uk Challenger Two Mile Hurdle Series Final Handicap Hurdle – 1m7f

CASTEL GANDOLFO went close in this race last year off this mark and while he needs to cast aside a lesser effort at Newbury, he has been given a good chance by the assessor.  TOO FRIENDLY is well-handicapped and has the form in the locker to be competitive, while BUBBLE DUBI has more to come after winning last time and is also shortlisted.

14.05 – Happy Birthday Caroline Dingwall Mares’ Maiden Hurdle – 2m2f

GOLDEN GLANCE might have been flattered by her proximity to easy winner Greyval at Huntingdon last time but that was still a fantastic effort in defeat and she has leading claims on that form heading into this race. LA GOMERA shaped with promise on hurdles debut at Doncaster and while she was pulled up last time, she should be able to get back to form in this weak race.

14.40 – cavani.co.uk Challenger Staying Chase Series Final Handicap Chase – 3m1f

NEON MOON’s sixth of 16 over three miles last May off a 3Ib higher mark and has run well in his last three starts over fences.  He remains unexposed and cannot be taken lightly, neither should PLANNED PARADISE, who has taken well to chasing and caught the eye last time. He should give a good account, while MORNING SPIRIT is only 2Ib above his last winning mark and could feature.

15.15 – cavani.co.uk Challenger Stayers Hurdle Series Final Handicap Hurdle – 3m

MY BOBBY DAZZLER returned to form when a good second at Chepstow last time from this mark and has undergone wind surgery since. He has the ability to figure in this race, while DOCPICKEDME has won his last two starts in good style and is feared in his hat-trick bid. I’ll also add in SIROBBIE, who was third in this last year off a much higher mark and has a better chance than his odds suggest.

15.50 – Jeannie’s Birthday Celebration Veterans’ Handicap Chase – 3m1f

COBOLOBO hasn’t won for a long time and was very disappointing on his final start last season but his last success was over C&D, in this grade, off this mark. He has a good record fresh and if he can match the form of his Ascot second from last January which came off a higher mark, he must surely run a big race. This is a good chance for him to potentially return to winning ways carrying top-weight.

HERE COMES THE MAN was an expensive purchase after his point win and while he has taken a while to get the hang of things, his latest second was his best effort to date. If he can repeat that form on his return here, he should go well. MARTY TIME has improved his form since going handicapping and has to be taken seriously.
