Huntingdon Place 6 preview | 10th April

13.05 – Every Race Live On Racing TV Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m3f

CHARLES RITZ scored on his debut over hurdles and while he failed to land any sort of blow on his chase debut, he should do better here. He is on a nice mark and has sound claims, while MANINSANE won over C&D in November and a 5Ib rise doesn’t seem harsh, so he’s another with valid claims. NORLEY has been in great form over hurdles of late and cannot be taken lightly back over the bigger obstacles.

Selections: CHARLES RITZ, MANINSANE, NORLEY

13.35 – Racings TV Novices’ Hurdle – 1m7f

Classy Flat performer BRENTFORD HOPE deservedly opened his account in good style two weeks ago after a string of runner-up efforts and should be competitive. IMPOSE TOI is the main danger though, who made the most of an easy opportunity at Exeter last time and is a major player with more to offer. These are the two to focus on in the second race.

Selections: BRENTFORD HOPE, IMPOSE TOI

14.10 – RacingTV Huntingdon Handicap Chase – 2m7f

KAKAMORA remains winless after nine starts in this sphere but I’m convinced he would have won at Ludlow around this time last year before falling at the third last fence and is six-pounds lower in this easier race. This course winner must have excellent claims, granted a clear round. LORD SPARKY lost little in defeat to a 125-rated horse last time and he generally goes well at this course as well. He is feared most.

Selections: KAKAMORA, LORD SPARKY

14.45 – Join RacingTV Now Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f

HALLIGATOR proved no match for runaway winner Quick Sharpener last time but he should benefit from the step up in distance with his stable amongst the winners. He makes his handicap debut off a fair mark of 107 and Johnny Burke is an interesting addition to the saddle. He should, at the very least, make the frame.

Selections: HALLIGATOR

15.20 – Bet At racingtv.com Handicap Hurdle – 1m7f

GILBERTINA has improved with practically each start over hurdles, especially since being switched to handicaps and ran a nice race when third at Doncaster last time. A bold showing looks firmly on the cards, while the hat-trick seeking Donald McCain’s PATIENT DREAM has to merit consideration given the form he is in at the minute.

Selections: GILBERTINA, PATIENT DREAM

15.55 – Visit racingtv.com Mares’ Handicap Chase – 2m7f

BRANDISOVA has won her last two starts, including on chase debut last time and could take some beating in her hat-trick bid. Of the others, LEGENDARY RHYTHM, who also seeks a hat-trick, has to be considered. She has to be feared in her current mood with more to offer.

Selections: BRANDISOVA, LEGENDARY RHYTHM
