Fontwell Place 6 preview | 4th April

14.00 – Cazoo Maiden Hurdle – 2m3f

DOUBLE CLICK has an attractive pedigree and while he was unplaced in all three starts in points, he has to be given respect on stable debut. While ROCCO ROYALE has improved with each start and should appreciate this longer distance. He is the one to beat in the opener on what is a tricky card.

Selections: DOUBLE CLICK, ROCCO ROYALE

14.30 – Download The Vickers.Bet App Handicap Chase – 2m1f

BEN BRODY is at the veteran stage of his career now and is the outsider of the field but he has a good record on deep ground and was second off a 28Ib higher mark on his last visit here. He could make the frame, while SHAW’S CROSS is only a pound above his last winning mark and has leading claims.

Selections: BEN BRODY, SHAW’S CROSS

15.00 – Vickers.Bet Independent Family Owned Bookmaker Mares’ Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – 2m1f

MISTRAL NELL isn’t consistent but has form on testing conditions and might be able to improve on recent efforts and get involved under Bryony Frost. SOMESPRING SPECIAL ran her best race when third last time and this race is a drop in class. The drop in trip should suit and she should be thereabouts on her handicap debut.

Selections: MISTRAL NELL, SOMESPRING SPECIAL

15.30 – Vickers.Bet Handicap Hurdle – 2m1f

GARDENER won at the second time of asking over hurdles at Leicester in a higher-grade race and while he couldn’t match that form when only fourth last time, he has been given a fair mark for his handicap debut. MONJULES could be capable of making it four wins from five starts for Harry Fry though and has to be considered.

Selections: GARDENER, MONJULES

16.00 – Follow Vickers.Bet On Facebook Handicap Hurdle – 2m5f

FLINTARA has a tendency to produce her best on soft ground and has returned in superb form this season, winning her last two starts and has a big shout in his hat-trick bid. LEGAL RIGHTS has winning form over C&D and could be competitive if able to cast aside a lesser effort last time.

Selections: FLINTARA, LEGAL RIGHTS

16.30 – At The Races App Form Study Handicap Chase – 3m1f

WILLIAM PHILO has yet to finish out of the frame in four starts on ground that is soft or worse and should find this easier than when third last time at Chepstow. He looks the one to beat with blinkers fitted. I fear WIND TOR though, who is on a dangerous mark and will handle conditions very well.

Selections: WILLIAM PHILO, WIND TOR
