Ludlow Place 6 preview | 3rd April

13.30 – JM Construction Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle – 1m7f

GAYE LEGACY shaped well when second in a sole bumper and has improved with each start over hurdles, including when beaten just a nose last time. She has more to come and should, at the very least, make the frame in the opener.

Selections: GAYE LEGACY

14.00 – Weatherbys nhstallions.co.uk Mares’ Handicap Chase – 2m4f

WALK IN CLOVER ran a nice race when second over C&D last time despite going keenly and drops in grade here. She could take some beating back in a handicap, while FORTUNES MELODY is proving really consistent and has made the frame in her last three starts. She should again be competitive from a dangerous-looking mark.

Selections: WALK IN CLOVER, FORTUNES MELODY

14.30 – Rob Barnwell’s 60th Celebration Novices’ Hurdle – 2m5f

SPACE VOYAGE comes out very well at the weights and has won two of her last three starts over hurdles. She has a fine strike-rate under rules with three wins from five starts and is fancied to enhance that record by completing the hat-trick for the in-form Olly Murphy team.

Selections: SPACE VOYAGE

15.00 – Boyne Cup – 2m7f

BOBHOPEORNOHOPE gained a C&D success in December and did well to finish fourth in a much stronger race at Kempton when last spotted. He is back down in grade off a 1Ib lower mark for this race, so with his trainer amongst the winners, he could be very hard to beat. GOOD BOY BOBBY is also now only 1Ib above his last winning mark and is another who will appreciate the ease in grade.

Selections: BOBHOPEORNOHOPE, GOOD BOY BOBBY

15.30 – weatherbysshop.co.uk Handicap Hurdle – 2m5f

HARDY FELLA only found a subsequent winner too strong at Wincanton last month and might have been let in here lightly on his handicap debut. He can feature in the outcome, while HEROS went close in a tactically-run race at Doncaster when last seen and is an obvious danger.

Selections: HARDY FELLA, HEROS

16.00 – Watch On RacingTV Handicap Hurdle – 1m7f

PATIENT DREAM has taken his form to another since headgear has been fitted, winning his last two starts, and one of those came over C&D as well. He should make a bold effort to keep the winning sequence intact. Meanwhile DOM PERRY wasn’t disgraced on his handicap debut and should again go well in the last race on the preview.

Selections: PATIENT DREAM, DOM PERRY
