Ffos Las Place 6 preview | 9th February

13.23 – Download The Vickers.Bet App Maiden Hurdle – 2m5f

The Sam Thomas-trained SHOMEN UCHI displayed good bumper form, with a win, a second and a sixth in a Grade 2 at Aintree from three starts. He went very close on his hurdles debut at Hereford when a “head” second and, with that experience under his belt, he is strongly fancied to go one better here.

Selections: SHOMEN UCHI

13.58 – Best Odds Guaranteed At Vickers.Bet Everyday Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – 1m7f

JUKEBOX D’EDDY fell on his debut for this stable at Southwell but has displayed a bit of promise in both completed starts since and makes his handicap debut off a nice mark here. He could go well, while MODREENEY would have gone close without falling at the last at Taunton last time and could make amends here.

Selections: JUKEBOX D’EDDY, MODREENEY

14.33 – Vickers.Bet Independent Family Owned Bookmaker Novices’ Handicap Chase – 2m3f

HOW’S THE CRICKET bolted up on his chase debut over C&D in October and ran a good race when second last time. He is applied with cheek-pieces for the first time and has to enter calculations. HELTENHAM won in good style at Newcastle at the third time of asking in this sphere when last seen and, with more to come, despite his rise in the weights, he’s a player.

Selections: HOW’S THE CRICKET, HELTENHAM

15.08 – Follow Vickers.Bet On Facebook Handicap Chase – 2m7f

Tim Vaughan’s BOBMAHLEY was back to winning ways when he won over C&D last time and has a solid record over fences. He should make another bold bid, though PILOT SHOW, who was back in fourth behind the former, could bridge the gap on these better terms. He won nicely on his chase debut and would have good claims should he repeat that effort in this contest.

Selections: BOBMAHLEY, PILOT SHOW

15.43 – Vickers.Bet Handicap Hurdle – 2m4f

OXYGEN hasn’t offered much in both starts for Venetia Williams but he retains potential and this mark could prove lenient. He could provide a bigger threat on handicap debut here, while MILITAIRE should be winning sooner rather than later. He ran really well when second on his hurdles debut over C&D and has at have place possibilities at the very least.

Selections: OXYGEN, MILITAIRE

16.18 – Vickers.Bet EBF Mares’ ‘National Hunt’ Novices’ Hurdle – 2m4f

HIDDEN BEAUTY won on her debut at this course in a bumper and finally got off the mark over hurdles at the third time of asking at Doncaster. She was beaten into second when sent off odds-on favourite but I don’t think the ceiling of her ability has been reached yet, so she has to be considered as a major threat for her in-form stable.

Selections: HIDDEN BEAUTY
