Ffos Las Place 6 preview | 8th August

14.35 – 3As Leisure Amateur Jockeys’ Handicap – 1m6f

LEXINGTON KNIGHT is generally a consistent performer and while he is 5Ib higher than when successful two starts ago, he should remain competitive here. GOLDEN SHOT went close at York recently and has a good chance of resuming winning ways with improvement on the cards.

Tips: Lexington Knight, Golden Shot

15.05 – Forever Puppy / EBF Maiden Stakes – 7f

DEVIL’S POINT shaped with bundles of promise when fifth on last month’s debut at Sandown and this presents a drop in grade. The conditions will be completely different here but he has more to come and connections have booked Oisin Murphy to ride. He has a Group 2 entry, so is clearly well thought of and should be capable of making his presence felt.

Tips: Devil’s Point, Going The Distance

15.40 – Christine Bielby Memorial Handicap – 7f

COVERT MISSION capitalised on a reduced mark when landing the spoils at Lingfield last week. He has a 5Ib penalty to carry but that is unlikely to be enough to prevent him from going in again. MY MATE TED has been largely disappointing but went close off a much higher mark at Windsor last year and would have a squeak if he was able to get back to that form.

Tips: Covert Mission, My Mate Ted

16.15 – Business Finance Direct / EBF Restricted Maiden Stakes – 7f

O G BEACHWEAR should have too many qualities for this field. Hugo Palmer’s charge has run to a good level of form in all three starts to date and will appreciate this ease in grade. She has Oisin Murphy taking the ride and sets a tall order for the rest to aim at. It would come as a major surprise if she didn’t win this race and win it very well.

Tips: O G Beachwear

16.50 – 3A’s Leisure Carmarthen Handicap – 1m2f

CITY ESCAPE has run well in both starts since returning from a mini break and is back on her last winning mark as well. She has to prove she can handle the ground but is still of interest. I will cover HITCHED who has won two of his last three starts and could take a bit of stopping given the form he is in at the moment.

Tips: City Escape, Hitched

17.20 – foreverpuppy.co.uk Handicap – 5f

MOULIN BOOJ will start a warm favourite and rightfully so after winning very easily at Wolverhampton three days ago. He has a penalty to shoulder but will be hard to stop if he can produce that sort of performance on the turf. REVE DE MAGRITTE is interesting as she will make her UK/stable debut in a race she could win and is therefore feared most.

Tips: Moulin Booj, Reve De Magritte
