Doncaster Place 6 preview | December 9th

11.55 – Download The At The Races App Conditional Jockeys’ Veterans’ Handicap Chase – 2m7f

ROCKY’S TREASURE is well-treated based on his past exploits and his last victory was off a twenty-pound higher mark and that was over course-and-distance. He isn’t the most reliable but Kim Bailey’s charge is a class act on his day and might be worth risking in the opener here.

Selections: ROCKY’S TREASURE

12.30 – At The Races App Form Study Novices’ Hurdle – 2m3f

TOMMY CULLEN ran a tidy race when third on his hurdles debut in October in a slightly warmer race and this race looks a lot easier. That effort is the best single piece of form on offer, so with a lot more to offer, the four-year-old has to be considered a major player in this race.

Selections: TOMMY CULLEN

13.05 – Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap Chase – 2m

ELIXIR DE NUTZ is a Grade One winner over hurdles and shaped a lot better than the beaten margin suggested at Ascot last time. That was his first start after seven-months off, so if he’s able to build on that effort here, he could outclass these off a mark that’s definitely within his capabilities.

13.40 – Follow At The Races On Twitter Novices’ Handicap Hurdle – 3m

ARMCHAIR FARMER could only finish midfield in a pair of bumpers but has improved with each start over hurdles and opened his account in good style from the front last time. He makes his handicap debut off a handy mark and, under another positive ride, he is the one to beat.

Selections: ARMCHAIR FARMER

14.15 – At The Races App Market Movers Novices’ Limited Handicap Chase – 2m4f

BRIEF TIMES finished second three times in succession before deservedly opening his account over fences at the third time of asking in great style 25 days ago. He should have more to come and can make a bold bid off top-weight here. MOSSY FEN has lost his form since 2020 but he’s dangerously well-handicapped if able to stage a revival and is worth including just incase he does here.

Selections: BRIEF TIMES, MOSSY FEN

14.45 – Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Handicap Hurdle – 2m3f

Dan Skelton’s MESSAGE PERSONNEL has shown decent form in all three starts since joining this stable from France and makes his handicap debut off a lenient mark of 124 following wind surgery. He has probably been let in here lightly and his trainer is still amongst the winners, so Bridget Andrews could guide him to success here. FINE CASTING caught the eye at Cheltenham last month when second and is feared most.

Selections: MESSAGE PERSONNEL, FINE CASTING
