Doncaster Place 6 Preview | 13th September

13.25 Land Of Lights Festival At Gullivers Handicap

This is a difficult race to solve. However, the hat-trick seeking MAELSTROM must be a big player with his slights lowered off only a 3lb higher mark from when successful at Ascot. THE MAN and FORTIFICATION are others to consider, as they have the form to play a leading role.

Tips: MAELSTROM, THE MAN & FORTIFICATION

13.55 Betfred ‘The Classic Bookmaker’ Handicap

COMPLETELY RANDOM finished an eye-catching fourth in the Stewards’ Cup last time out and a reproduction here off only a 2lb higher figure should see him involved. LAKERS can compete off the same mark as when third at Goodwood last time out and is the other one to consider.

Tips: COMPLETELY RANDOM & LAKERS

14.30 Betfred City Of Doncaster Handicap

INTENSE VISION has yet to make an impact since starting out in handicaps but still has time on his side and should do better. MILITARY CODE returned to form with a good fourth at Newmarket last time out, and given his early promise, Charlie Appleby’s charge can have a say in the outcome.

Tips: INTENSE VISION & MILITARY CODE

15.05 Japan Racing Association Sceptre Fillies’ Stakes (Fillies’ & Mares Group 3)

FORTY YEARS ON is making relentless progress and recorded a fifth win from her seven starts when a good winner at Goodwood when last seen. She’s respected stepping up in grade, while TOULEEN would have excellent claims if able to produce her best performance.

Tips: FORTY YEARS ON & TOULEEN

15.40 Betfred Mallard Handicap

ALL IN YOU is sure to find this much easier than the Ascot Stakes and is a leading contender, with the same applied to SAY WHAT YOU SEE, who is having a fantastic year. With two wins and three placed efforts from his last five starts, another big run could well be on the cards.

Tips: ALL IN YOU & SAY WHAT YOU SEE

16.15 I Love Julie Parkes Handicap

HIYA MAITE is on a long losing run but has become dangerously well-handicapped and his last win came over C&D off a 7lb higher mark, so he’s worth a second look. BIG FUN will need to improve on his latest second but is open to improvement and could be thereabouts.

Tips: HIYA MAITE & BIG FUN
