GHOST RAIDER looked in need of the experience when second on debut at Kempton but ran a big race and looks capable of going one place better with more to come. SCENIC ROUTE also only found one too good on debut and is another to consider with more to offer.

14.05 Fine Details Car Valeting Sprint Handicap

HAVANA RUM has made the frame on three of his last four outings and remains on the same mark as when last successful. He looks sure to go close with his sights lowered. CALL TO ACTION has had two narrow-misses on his last two starts and must be thereabouts.

14.40 Hanson Springs Stayers Handicap

HIGH FIBRE beat PERCY SHELLEY at Newmarket last time out and it’s hard to see the pair not involved in this event. Both come into the race in good form and I’ll be surprised if one of them doesn’t go close to coming out on top.

15.15 Saltmoore Collection Handicap

I like the claims of CASTLE STUART, who placed in two valuable handicaps over C&D earlier in the year off similar marks and again ran well here last time out. He should be in the mix, while BESIEGED made it third time lucky when bolting up at Salisbury when last seen and makes his handicap debut off a handy mark.

15.50 Starman At Tally Ho Stud Garrowby Stakes (Listed)

REGIONAL isn’t the force of old but he’s a class act on his day and this Group 1 winner finished a good third in a Group 2 event over track and trip back in May. I think he’s a major contender and is one of my best bets on the card. Just as a back up though, AMERICA QUEEN is played as cover having won at Pontefract last time out.

16.25 Eboracum Security Handicap

HOUQUETOT ran his best race for current connections when fourth at Newmarket and is down in class off a 2lb lower mark, so he’s worth a second look. MR NOBLE is totally unexposed though, with two wins and three placed efforts from five starts and is of interest stepping up in grade.
