Yarmouth Place 6 preview | 12th July

13.45 – QuinnBet Daily Free Bet Restricted Maiden Fillies’ Stakes – 1m

PRISHA stepped up markedly from her debut effort to finish a good second at Haydock and would have finished closer without being denied a clear run when going well. Still, that form is the best on offer and it would be somewhat disappointing if she couldn’t make the most of this opener.

Tips: PRISHA

14.20 – QuinnBet Handicap – 1m

HANDEL was rated as high as 85 when trained in Ireland and has fallen a long way in the weights since. He has run well in his last three starts off his reduced mark and a repeat of his third two starts ago should be enough to see him competitive. ADACE came close to winning at Windsor last time and is respected, while HITCHED scored at Chepstow and has a chance, too.

Tips: HANDEL, ADACE, HITCHED

14.50 – British Stallion Studs EBF Fillies’ Restricted Novice Stakes – 5f

WHOOP WHOOP should have won at Pontefract last time, where she travelled best and quickened clear off the home-bend to go clear of the pack. Somehow, she seemed to idle badly late on and was caught on the line. She was definitely the best horse in the race and, with the drop in trip to five furlongs to suit, she can put her vital speed to good use and go one better.

Tips: WHOOP WHOOP

15.20 – QuinnBet Quarterback Handicap – 1m2f (Div 1)

SUN FESTIVAL is likely to start a warm favourite on the back of an easy win at Brighton, where he took the spoils by over five lengths. He’s won two of his last three starts and should be hard to beat carrying top-weight. CALCUTTA DREAM is only a pound higher than when winning at Newcastle back in January and should be included as cover.

Tips: SUN FESTIVAL, CALCUTTA DREAM

15.50 – QuinnBet Quarterback Handicap – 1m2f (Div 2)

Any Murphy is going great guns with her team and FILLYFUDGE could be the one to come out on top in this contest. She came within a neck of success off this mark at Windsor last-time-out and has previously run well over this trip. This is an opening opportunity for this filly to gain a much-deserved first win in a race where most others have plenty to prove.

Tips: FILLYFUDGE

16.20 – QuinnBet Second To The Favourite Handicap – 7f

In his last five starts, OKEANOS has finished second four times and won once. He went close in a higher-grade race at Doncaster last time and should take plenty of beating down in class from only a two pounds higher mark. I also like another grade-dropper in CARIAD, who was also second in a better race last time and remains on the same mark.

Tips: OKEANOS, CARIAD
